I woke up to thunder.
"Rob," I whimpered. Oh shit. No. No. No. No. No. But he didn't catch it.
"Shhh, it's ok. I've got you, love," he whispered, embracing me tightly. I slowly drifted off, thinking of how much I loved him. How much I loved Rob. How much I regretted letting him go.
"Wake up lazy arse!" I was assaulted with a pillow.
"Meh," I grumbled, wrapping the pillow tightly around my head.
"GET UP! We're gonna be late!" Nate yelled. I opened my eyes slowly. I saw Nate's hovering figure. "Get up!"
I rolled myself out of bed.
"C'mon!" Luke urged.
"What are we gonna be late for?" I whined.
"Our flight back home!" Nate explained. "Up!"
I scrambled to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, throwing on sweats, a sweatshirt, and a beanie.
"Where are the others?" I asked.
"Zack's grabbing breakfast at McDonald's, and Henry and Louis are with him," Luke said.
"Now c'mon!" Nate said impatiently. We hopped into a car and started driving to the airport. I was like a zombie the whole time. By the time we got to the airport, though, I was awake. I saw Zack, Henry, and Louis with McDonald's bags. I said hello and we were off to our plane.
"Wait!" I exclaimed, stopping short.
"What?!" all five boys grumbled simultaneously.
"I wanna Starbucks," I said. "I'll go grab one."
"But we'll be late!" Luke said. I glared at him.
"Uh, Luke? You may not want to get between Alex and her coffee," Zack said. "You should know that by now."
"That's right. Now I'm getting coffee," I stated, running to Starbucks. There was no line.
"Hi, how may I help you?" the barista asked.
"I'll have a large Carmel macchiato with whipped cream," I said, glancing in the direction of the boys. Luke was tapping his wrist as a time indicator. I got my coffee and paid, running back to the boys. We ran to our gate and got on just in time. Zack and I sat facing everyone else. We passed around food, and everything was going well.
"Babe, wanna learn how to make a Zackwich?" Zayn asked. Before I had the chance to ask what the hell a 'Zackwich' was, Nate cut me off.
"I had to listen to you two making a 'Zack wich' last night!" he exclaimed.
"Shows what you know. We didn't even do anything last night." Everyone sighed in relief. "We did it this morning."
Luke nearly spit out his juice on Louis, and Henry looked awkward.
"I'm totally messing with you. We didn't have sex," I cracked up.
"Can we please not talk about this?" Henry pleaded.
"What, does sex make you uncomfortable?" I asked.
"No, just in this current conversation," he said.
"No, it's because you don't have a girlfriend to-" Nate was cut off by Luke putting his hand over his mouth.
"EW!" Luke shrieked. "NATE LICKED ME!"
"You're nasty Nate!" I said.
He wiggled his eyebrows.
"Can we get serious now?" Zack sighed. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What's up?" I asked.
"We need to speak about who you're going to the London charity ball with," Zayn explained.
"That's easy," I replied, "Luke. I mean, he's the only....single one besides Henry, and Henry fans are vicious little buggers."
"Why can't you go with, uh, your boyfriend?" Louis asked.
"Because Tess hates me," I said. "And because Tess hates me, I'm not allowed to go to team functions with Zack."
Zack's eyes shot a warning glare at the other four. Nate opened his mouth, but Zack's threatening glare forced him to close it. It was silent.
"Well that answers that," Louis finally said awkwardly.
"Yeah...so who wants to play truth or dare?" Henry asked.
"I'm in!" I exclaimed.
"Me too," said Zack.
"Me three," said Luke.
"Me four," said Louis.
"Me five!" exclaimed Nate.
"Ok," said Henry, "truth or dare, Alex?"
"Dare, easy!" I said, rolling my eyes.
"Huh...I dare you to go into the cockpit and say to the pilot, on repeat, 'Are we there yet? Are we there yet?'"
I laughed. This was too easy.
I went into the cockpit. There was a middle aged man who was going grey.
"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" I asked. "Huh, are we there yet?"
I heard the boys laughing as I came back the the cabin.
"Ok, Nate, truth or dare?" I asked.
"Duh, dare!" he replied.
"I dare you to dress up in my bra and panties and go into the cabin singing, 'I'm a Barbie Girl'," I said, snickering. Zack laughed. I went into my suitcase and got a Zebra bra and lace panties. Nate went into the bathroom and stripped, changing into my undergarments. He came out pissed as hell, and went into the cockpit.
"I'm a Barbie girl, in a Barbie wo-orld. My boobs are plastic, it's so fantastic! You can brush my hair, and take me anywhe-ere. I'm fantastic!" he sang. I was on the floor of the cabin laughing my ass off. This was by far the most hilarious thing I had ever seen. I snapped a picture and set it as Nate's contact photo.
"You're never gonna let him forget this, are you?" Zack asked, his warm breath tickling my ear. I shook my head.
"Ok, just sayin' but I'm the only one that can rock this, 'cause I'M A SEXY IRISH BEAST!" he yelled. I started laughing even harder.
"Ok, serious time. Henry, truth or dare?" Nate asked the laughing Henry.
"D-Dare!" Henry laughed.
"I dare you to go in the freezer, get the ice cubes, and put thirty down your boxers," Nate said, snickering. Henry stopped laughing and shot him a glare as he went to the freezer. He got the ice cubes, and put them down his pants. He started wiggling around, and Nate was laughing like a lunatic.
"MY BALLS!" wailed Henry. Luke looked serious, unlike the rest of us.
"Maybe we should call it quits," Luke said. We all grumbled, but ultimately listened to him. He was like the father of the team.
"How about we sing?" Zack suggested. Nate went to the bank and grabbed his guitar, starting to play.
