You were torn.

You were torn between either doing absolutely nothing at all or go out and enjoy today's weather.

You gave a huff as you got up out of bed. Today was your day off and the only day off you had in a while. Well, ever since you moved to Berk. You've been working constantly and studying non-stop. You were used to busy schedules and always have something to do but you were shocked when Eira told you the day before to take the day off because she knows you've been working hard and she had to tend to some family business (her daughter just had a baby, supposedly). You didn't mind but now you didn't know what to do. You finished your daily studies and it was around one in the afternoon.

You took a long glance at the bookshelf by your bed. One caught your eye because you have yet to read it since it was a new addition to your collection. A high school mentor recommended you the book and to say you were excited to read it is an understatement.

With a new found energy, you picked yourself up and the book with your keys and you were out the door. You planned on reading your book at the park on some sort of bench.

On your way to your destination, you couldn't help but think of your new life in the city of Berk. You were terrified you wouldn't fit in and completely loose your sanity. Okay, that was a bit dramatic, but could you blame yourself? When you move out of your comfort zone and into a new environment, you get a bit nervous. But, you were welcomed with open arms from everyone. Everyone was lovely and friendly to you, almost like they understood your situation. You settled quiet quickly because them.

Henry was a huge part of helping you settle. He would help with giving directions to any grocery stores or any place to get a bite to eat. He even promised an outing one of these days when you weren't too busy. You found yourself rather fond of the plan and didn't mind at all. You two would exchange some conversation like how Toothless was doing, how you've been, how he's been, et cetera.

You found a bench that was available under some cheery blossoms that was in full bloom. You couldn't help but smile at the sight. You dusted off some fallen petals and took a seat, starting your book.

You were very intrigued in the plot. You were just about to read on how a man escaped prison by very beloved man's death when you heard a voice.

"I didn't know you were such a bookworm, milady."

You looked up with a slightly irritated look but was immediately wiped off when you saw who it was. "Oh, Henry," you smiled, "you'd be surprised with what I do."

He chuckled, "I doubt that."

You heard a bark and saw a familiar black lab run towards you. You gasped and gushed at him. "Toothless! How are you boy?" You put your book to the side and gave him affection.

"You know, he's been looking for you since when he first met you," Henry smiled.

You looked up in surprise. "Wasn't that a little over a month ago, though?"

"That's what I thought, too, but insists on seeing you. He would drag me to where I found you two." He laughed.

You hummed and smiled down to the panting dog. He looked up to you as if you were the owner yourself. "Well, if he misses me that much, then why don't you bring him to the cafe some time? I'm sure Eira wouldn't mind if he's at the entry."

He chuckled, "I'll think about it." He took a glance at the book you set aside. "The Count of Monte Cristo, huh? That's an original."

"You read it?" you asked with an eyebrow raised towards his direction.

"Read it, watched it. Although, the book was more interesting but you could easily get confused with how many characters there is in the book." He shrugged. He stopped when he saw you wore a smirk and the eyebrow possibly raised higher. He raised his own eyebrow. "What?"

"Seems like I'm not the only bookworm around here, and here I thought you were mocking me," you laughed.

Mocking and flirting are two different things, sweet [Name], he thought, but you didn't know that.

"Ha ha, very funny," Henry scoffed, "we'll see who will be the last one laughing."

You laughed more, "Clearly, it's me."

Henry pouted while you laughed but slowly grew a smirk while he walked away with Toothless in tow. "Spoiler alert: Fernand marries Mercedes."

You immediately stopped laughing and your jaw dropped, "Henry! How dare you!"

He laughed more and quickly added before bolting with you chasing him, "Another spoiler alert: Fernand kills himself."

"Henry!"
