17) 29 Weeks Pregnant, LIAR!
The usual frown stayed firmly on my face as I walked into sociology. Mr Bell flashed me a smile as I dragged my feet into the classroom, my glare fixed on my seat. All people had spoken to me about today was Brianna. “Oh, Isabella aren’t you and Jackson staying together. Brianna and him have something starting don’t they” or maybe, “Haha, Bella. Lets hope you’re not the only one pregnant, I mean your baby could have a step-sibling!” I let out a small groan as I slid into my seat, trying not to bang my belly on the table.
‘How are you?’ Louisa asked, she didn’t even look at me. Her eyes were glued onto the board at the front of the class; at least I think it was the board.
‘Terrible,’ I grumbled as I leant down on the desk. Louisa gave out a grunt and nodded her head. ‘Great to know you care,’ I mumbled turning to face the board. Luckily for me, Janet and Brianna didn’t appear to be in lesson.
There was a quiet knock at the door and two familiar faces poked in. ‘Sorry we’re late sir- Jackson- sorry I mean we had go somewhere,’ Brianna spoke, correcting herself after she’d made sure I heard her say Jackson’s name.
‘Not a good enough excuse girls, I want you two to stay behind after school,’ Mr Bell announced, his face wrinkled as he scrunched it up with disappointment.
‘But sir! I have to meet Jackson for dinner!’ Brianna shouted in response. Mr Bell pulled another face before shooing Brianna away.
‘Get to your seat now, you’re getting kept behind either way,’ Mr Bell finished sternly. Brianna shrugged away as she walked over to her seat before slipping into it.
‘Can you believe how frisky Jackson was getting? I’m surprised I got away,’ Brianna giggled; I could feel her eyes staring into the back of my head, burning holes.
‘He was all over you,’ Janet laughed back. I turned around, taking a look at the laughing pair. Brianna sent me an evil glare as Janet just frowned at me. ‘What?’ I felt the anger building in me; is this what jealousy feels like?
‘Jackson was with you? And he’s meeting with you after school?’ I asked as I looked into Brianna’s eyes, she nodded with a smile. Her eyes glistened as she pouted.
‘Yep and yep again, sorry Isabella but I think you’re second best,’ Brianna chuckled softly; she continued to glare at me deeply and pout her lips. ‘I suppose a first real love never dies,’ Brianna taunted.
‘He doesn’t love you, he never did,’ I spat harshly, my voice was sharp.
‘But that’s where you are wrong; the only person he never loved was you,’ Brianna finished; she then swished her fringe away from her eyes. ‘Now get back to work, best start preparing for your lone motherhood,’ Brianna sneered, her eyebrows rising as she spoke the words. The pained me, I felt the jealousy taking over my body.
‘You’ll never get Jackson back, he is my baby’s father and he loves me,’ I sassed, turning back around to my seat not wanting Brianna to see my pain. Louisa sent me a comforting glance; she’d heard the entire thing and not spoke one word. Could I really be losing Jackson to someone like that? Why does it hurt me so badly?
I was full of questions as I met up with Jackson for another pregnancy class. I wanted to question Jackson but he might take the questions offensively, he could get up and leave. ‘Okay, first we are going to do some breathing techniques that will make labour seem a lot more bearable,’ Kaye spoke, a small smile showed on her face as she glanced around the entire class.
