One of the nice things about going to sleep is that when I wake up, both my mind and my body are refreshed, which is great since I spent the entire day yesterday studying to make sure that I am caught up with the rest of my classmates. It became clear to me, once my classes were over, however that I am not too far behind compared to the other first years. Part of the reason I wasn’t that far behind was because I already spent quite a bit of time studying magic and magical theory to learn about magic itself. In fact, spending the entire day yesterday had actually made me catch up with the other students.

Aside from the magical classes that I had yesterday, I also had Languages and Mathematics to attend to. As of right now, English is being taught in my Languages class and after talking with Brian, I find out that the other language that is also taught, is Elvish.

Elvish is a language that is taught to second, third and fourth year students, even if it is the students’ main language. Which means that those whose main language is Elvish either has a period in which they do nothing but sleep and talk, or they are stuck with helping their friends and peers.

Mathematics on the hand was insanely easy for the level of Mathematics that is taught at the Academy of Magic is equal to that of Grade Eight Mathematics. Which is actually not surprising considering that the level of technology in this world is not as high.

The class ended up being a little awkward however as the person who taught the class, Trisha Rose, turned out to be the one that Diana did not want me to meet. After finding out how great I am at math, Trisha would find any chance she could to flirt with me, even during the times in which she is supposed to be teaching the class.

After talking to a few of my classmates and spending some time at the library, I realized that magic is simply the manipulation of matter. Magic in this world, is very similar to what is shown in the movie, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, however there is a limit. The limit is that magic feeds off of an energy tank that everyone has, something that not everyone can access. Like all limits, this one can be overcome with practice, time, hard work and a will to become stronger.

Even though it is extremely comfortable to simply lie in bed, it would be better if I went to class. With that in mind, I force myself off of my bed and resist the urge to shudder due to the coldness of the room.

There are two negative things about having to move to the residency. One is the lack of fireplace and the other is the bathroom and bathing area being shared by everyone, which sucks because a lot of the males are on Richards’s side and that means that the bathroom and bathing area is just another place where I have to keep my guard up.

After taking a few seconds to take deep breaths, I push myself off my bed and take a few seconds to allow my feet to get used to the cold floor. I move to get one of the uniforms inside of my cabinet before remembering that I am supposed to receive the vambraces sometime today. Excited, I take a quick look towards my study desk only to see a stack of letters placed on top of the desk. Hoping to find some sort of good news in the stack of letters, I take a quick glance at each of them only to see that they are from people that I do not know.

The headmaster was right when she said that I would receive a lot of letters asking for my hand in marriage.

Disappointed, I place the letters onto the desk and quickly finish change clothes before heading to the bathroom. The plus side of being here though is that there is no need to check a plaque to see if a female is using the room. All of the guys are on the same floor which means that there is no danger of that.

Once done, I make my way back to my room and make sure that my satchel has everything that I need for the day before heading to the dining hall.

Reaching the dining hall, I quickly go and get some food before searching for Brian, however after a few seconds I realize that he isn’t in the hall. It takes me only a few seconds to decide where to sit for Richard has become very annoying. Despite how amusing he was acting for the first two days after I beat his sister, he has gone back to glaring at me whenever I am close to him.
