Chapter Five ~ Natsume In The Morning

I sit on Natsume's green sofa wearing a pair of pyjama shorts and a blue top. My slightly damp black bob hair kept its shape as it started to dry. Natsume is sitting across from me in his desk chair.

"Would you like to tell me what is going on?" He asks "Do you want to go home?"

I shake my head "No, I don't want to go home"

"Would you tell me why?" He asks.

"My parents are getting a divorce" I say "I always thought how I would react if they did, this is how I reacted. I'm actually just a burden to both my parents, I was a mistake anyway...I wasn't meant to be brought into the world. I even heard them say it..."

"I don't think you are a burden at all, even if your parents said those things I bet they were glad to have you as a daughter, if they didn't want you they would of gave you away, am I correct?" He asks me.

Looking up to him I give him a nod "I guess you are right but...I still don't want to go home, the next time I go home I will be collecting Cho"

"Cho?" Natsume asks repeating the name.

"My cat" I say

"You must miss him" He says.

"How did you know Cho is a he?" I ask.

"I can tell easily"

"I see"

"Do you want something to drink...or eat?"

"I'm okay thank you" I say nodding once for a 'thank you'.

"You can switch the TV on if you want" He says passing the remote controller over to me.

"Ah thanks" I say taking the remote controller politely and switch the TV on as Natsume heads into the bathroom.

Flipping through the channels there is nothing interesting on. Turning the TV off completely I grab the blanket Natsume gave to me to use.

Laying on the sofa I rest my head against a cushion and snuggle into the blanket shutting my eyes. There is the sound of silence, I have been wanting for a night like this for ages. Shutting my eyes it feels like I'm in heaven.

"Oh. You are going to sleep" Natsume says sitting on the floor.

"You can say up if you want its just because I'm really tired" I mumble.

"It's fine" He says switching the light off "Night Chiyo"

"Night... Natsume" I say.

Opening my eyes I see that it is morning and Natsume isn't around. Maybe he has gone out for a while, I hear the shower running as I walk past the door.

Maybe he'll want something for breakfast. I can't make a lot, maybe toast with eggs. Opening the fridge I find a box of eggs and take to. Finding a pan I pour the oil I find inside and put both eggs on at the same time on the heat.

Finding a toast I turn the dial to make sure the toast will go nice and golden. Finding two plates I put them on the side ready.

"What are you doing?" Natsume asks behind me.

Turning around I go to say 'good morning' when I'm amazed by his 8 pack and his arm muscles.

Blushing darkly I take the now done pieces of toast and put them on the plates "I-I was just making breakfast because I thought you might want some, i-is that okay?" I ask.

"It's fine please let me know if you need any ingredients for anything you want" He says.

I nod.

I place a plate in front of Natsume at the quite small table. Natsume is now dressed in a white causal top with grey jogging bottoms.

"Thanks" He says.

I sit opposite him and start to eat my breakfast as well.

"It's good" He says.

"I'm glad" I say trying to pull a smile but it isn't working.

"Do you want to go somewhere today?" Natsume asks me and I nod in reply.

We decided to go to the park.
