[ Blake Kollman is homeless. Ever since he could remember he has lived on the streets, working for every meal each day. After staying the night at a church kind enough to offer the homeless and needy a place to sleep while it rains, he meets a strange red headed magician offering to mystify Blake with a trick.

Trying to be polite to the magician, he agrees to see the trick. However, when the trick is over and the magician skips away with his strange friend, Blake realizes his most prized possession-a beat up watch he's had since he can rememeber-is gone.

Without much thought he comes to realize the magician stole his watch sometime during the magic trick. Though the magician having already disappeared, Blake comes to terms with the fact that he won't see his watch or the magician again.

Or so he thought. The next day he spots the same magician and without hesitation confronts the man about his stollen watch. The magician simply informs him he won't give the watch back, but comes up with a proposition too good for Blake to turn down. ]
