Too precious.Too precious for such a harsh world.
For the relentless rain that now poured like tears from the ebony sky.
This world didn't deserve such fragile beauty.
Right now, Nikolai questioned if he even deserved it. Of course, he knew he didn't deserve a woman of (Y/n)'s caliber,but he knew he wanted her.
That was a fact.
He wanted her.
He would have her. In his corrupt mind, if he didn't deserve her, surly,the abomination that is, the rest of these life forms didn't.
"If I can't have you, no one can."
His proclamations went unheard.
Nikolai was alone in the dark rain of the sky's cries. And the tears of the sky were anything but silent. The wind whistled to the thump of heavy drops. Trees swayed helplessly. But to that, he paid no mind. His violet orbs were glued to the window of the building he had just recently come to know.
He cursed that damn boss for making (Y/n) work such ungodly hours.
It was despicable.
Nikolai would wait till she got off of work. He would wait. He didn't know how long he would wait,but he would as long as he needed to for her.
He stared in envy as a few patients went to see (Y/n). He would see that enchanting smile etched on that gorgeous face of hers.
It wasn't fair to keep all of that beauty to herself. He wanted her to share it with him.
It may have been dark,but the light pink blush did dust his cheeks at that moment.
His mind wandered to the life the two of you could have.
His thoughts began to creep into the not-so-innocent side,as he noticed your figure running through the rain.
"The thoughts will just have to wait."
~~~
"DAMMIT!"They were nowhere in sight.
Your tried to find them,but they just weren't there.
"If I don't find those fucking keys.."
Your brow was scrunched up in frustration,as your (s/c) fingers rummaged through your vehicle for the seemingly thousandth time.
You guessed this was the consequence of keeping your house keys separate from your other keys.
Your reasoning was, if one were to take your car keys, they may miss those. That would lead to a random stranger not having full access to your home.
Well, your reasoning came back to bite you in the ass.
Turning over every piece of paper, you finally found the desired object. They were smashed between the cream sheets of a file.
"How in the hell?"
You didn't remember ever putting your keys anywhere near your files.
It just so happened to be Nikolai's file. You had wanted to study this man a little more,as he intrigued you. Very much,actually.
Nevertheless, you didn't have time to frolic in your thoughts.
You were now sopping wet in this horrid rain. You had to admit, you were a rain person,but you were not a 'let's get soaked in freezing rain' person.
No.
You quickly went inside,as the bright flash from the sky above illuminated the dark night,like the flash on a camera.
You grumbled a little about the water and dirt you were forced to trudge through your decent sized home.
You decided the best thing to do would be change into some night clothing.
~~~
A heavy sound echoed through the eerily silent walls of your home. You took to ignoring it,but that didn't seem to be possible,as it kept going.
Your mind noted the sound to be the dark,wooden door of your house. Yet, you told yourself that was absurd.
What kind of person would go to your house at this ungodly hour. Nevertheless, in such weather.
You decided to play it on the safe side. You grabbed a medium sized,steel knife from your kitchen set. You carefully placed in along the waist band of your sleeping shorts. You would be damned if someone was going to cross you.
A (s/c) hand reached out to the silver handle,as another angry knock resided on your abused door.
"Hello?"
You looked up to see quite the sight.
"Dr. (L/n)?"
This wasn't okay. First off, patients were not supposed to visit your house. Second of all, you didn't have the energy to deal with this needy person, this late.
"What in fucks sake are you doing at my home? No! Better yet, how do you know where I live? Even better, have you lost your mind driving in such weather?"
A small frown etched its way onto your strange patient's face.
He just really needed to see you. Also, that type of language slightly surprised him.
"May I come in?"
You let a hand comb through your hair,as an irritated sigh left your lips.You let your hand dramatically slap against your side,as you moved aside.
"Why not, Francis!"God, this Frenchman was going to drive you crazy! You hadn't even begin to initiate little 'mind games',and he was already clinging onto you. Then again, you had to admit that this man did have deep troubled residing in him.
He's felt so much pain in his life. You see, this patient has his own interesting way of interacting with others. He doesn't mean harm. Yet, people tend to turn there noses up in disgust at every word he utters. You almost felt sorry for the man. His loneliness led to depression,which lead him to you,and which lead him to cling onto you, like a lost child.
"Thank you,Dr. (L/n)!"
A tired smile graced your lips.
"Please, call me (Y/n),but only while you're here. Remember, the only reason you're getting away with this,is because the weather isn't letting up quite yet."
Francis's smile was seemingly glowing.
"Thank you very much, mon cheri!"
"Whatever."
