I didn't sleep well last night. My dad came home wasted again and was arguing with my sober worn out mother.

I felt bad for my mother most of the time because she has never really drank even if my father tried to pressure her into doing it. She always took care of my drunk father when she should be at work. She lost her job so I pay all the bills from the money I get from my fights.

My mom hasn't even talked to me for 3 weeks now. My mom tries to talk to me and be a mom when she still has to be a mom to her husband.

Honestly I haven't really talked to my dad since I was 7. Then, he started drinking and it all went down hill from there.

I woke up at 6:00 AM and put my headphones on. I ran outside to let out some steam. I knew I had training today in 2 hours with Randy. That just made me more mad. I ran a little faster and next thing I knew I was five streets down from my house. I had only been running for 5 minutes. I stopped and put my hands on my knees breathing heavily.

I stood up and drank some of my water. I looked around. I never really went this far whenever I ran. It wasn't that far. The kids living in this street still go to my school. They just live farther away from the school and I live down the street of the school.

I saw a tree stump in this grass fieldl area. I sat down in the grass with my back pressed against it. I turned up my music and rested my head. I needed moments like this to just forget my problems and pretend everything was fine. The whole world around me wasn't there.

I always try to clear my head but that never lasts long. Something always pops up. My mind then leads to other things to try to forget it, but reality creeps in.

I sighed and tried to focus on the music playing through my head phones. I listened to the lyrics and hummed a little to the catchy songs.

After another song ended I checked my phone and was shocked to know it was already 7:20 AM. I ran back and took a quick 5 minute shower, grabbed my bag, and headed to the gym.

The gym was empty when I got there. It was already 8:05 and he's late. Unbelievable. I put my bag down on the bench. I already had my attire on.

I grabbed my gloves and strapped them on. I went to the boxing bag and turned the radio on blasting music. It played unsteady by X Ambassadors. I loved the song because it made me remember why I fight in the first place.

(Play the song now)

I stretched as the beginning of the song played and did a little jug warm up. I listened to the beginning lyrics as I prepared my self for training. I would do this all the time before I trained. It made me feel emotions and sometimes I would want to let them out. Fighting was how I let that all out. It was my get away place.

Then, I punched the bag once the beat dropped. I punched the bag in all different ways and kicked skillfully. Basically I was beating the shit out of it.

Mamma come here
Approach, appear

Daddy I'm alone
Cause this house don't feel like home.

If you loved me
Don't let go

Another punch and a kick.

If you loved me
Don't let go

Another hard punch.

Hold, hold on, hold on to me
Cause I'm a little unsteady, a little unsteady.

I could feel my body get sore from how hard I was hitting. It made me feel like I was fighting all my demons away though. It made me feel powerful. Like I was in charge of them. I had the power.

Mother I know
That your tired of being alone
Dad I know your trying
To fight when you feel like flying.

If you love me
Don't let go

If you love me
Don't let go

As the chorus came again I stopped. I was breathing hard and just stared at the boxing bag. I took my gloves off and looked at my red knuckles. I walked over to my first aid kit and wrapped my knuckles up as the song came to an end. Then,I heard breathing in the corner of the room. When I looked up, I saw Randy standing there with his bag on his shoulder, staring at me.

"How long have you been there?"

"Since you started kicking the punching bags ass. Seriously, What did he do this time?"

I rolled my eyes while he smirked. Cocky asshole. Remind you of anybody?

He did remind me of Elliot. Though Elliot's rich ass probably can't fight to save his life.

I grabbed my drink and gulped it down. He put his bag down and grabbed his gloves and put them on. I sat down to take a breath before we went at it. He was watching me the whole time though.

When he was done he got up and turned the radio up. Blaring rock music came out as he got into the ring in the middle of the gym.

I sighed before getting in after him.

"Let's see what each other's got. See how we fight to see what we can teach other than we can work on some doubles moves. My boy is coming in to help us with that in an hour."

I nodded and he held his gloves up and I did the same. He punched right and I ducked but he hooked me with a left. He didn't hit me that hard but it sure hurt a little. He kept his gloves up. I nodded telling him to go on.

He knew my way of fighting that's for sure. Has he watched me fight? I can use my observations skills too. I watched Randy fight. That's why when he goes to distract me with a punch and tries to trick me I duck and put my leg behind his to make him fall on to the mat.

He looked up at me shocked. I shrugged at him.

"I see you've been watching my fights." He says getting up and standing in front of me again.

"I can say the same thing to you."

He nodded and we went at it like that forever until his friend showed up. I recognized him as one of the guys from the gym the other day.

We took a little break before we got in the ring with him to work on some doubles moves.

We started on the first one for both of us to take out one person. Randy knocked with punch and hook leg as he does that to knock him down with a possible broke knee or ankle and the impact of the rough fall would make you tap.

We were working well together. I was shocked we weren't ripping each other's heads off.

Once it was 12:00 we finished. I was breathing heavily as I took a couple gulps of my water as the boys did the same. The guy left shortly after. I sat down and put my hands on my face. I was sweating like crazy and the mask and hood wasn't helping. I took the mask off but kept the hood up and turned away from Randy.

I could feel his stare on the back of my head that was covered by my hood. I took a rag and wiped the sweat off my face from the mask. Then I put it back on with my hood still on.

When I turned around Randy was staring at me. Then he looked away once he noticed me staring at him. I put my sweats over my short shorts.

He turned around and looked directly at me, "You know if we're going to be partners we need to be able to trust each other to show our faces."

"So you'll be fine with showing me your face?" I ask scoffing. He wouldn't show me his face. Would he?

"I won't want to but I know it'll be a relief for sure."

I nodded and said "Than show me your face first and then I will."

He sighed but still continued rolling his eyes at me. He put his hand on his mask and lifted it up showing his real identity.
