I wasn't paying attention to anyone in the real word, which is probably why I didn't hear Tyler and the others calling me.
"Sydney." Tyler called, "Sydney, are you sure you're okay?"
I quickly shook my head to rid out my thoughts and started seeing my friends worriedly looking at me. Tyler's hands were on my shoulders and Cody sat there with wide eyes next to me.
"Sydney." Aubrey called out my name. I didn't answer, I could hear them, but I couldn't make out the words to speak.
"Sydney." Xavier frantically said.
"Sydney?" Cody worriedly grabbed my hand, "Talk.." He pleaded.
I blinked and moved on my seat.
"Sorry." I breathed out.
"Thank god." Tyler let go of my shoulders and sighed.
I could feel the warmth of Cody's hold on my hand leave all of a sudden and when I looked at him, I saw his face buried in his hands.
"You worried us to death, Sydney." Xavier softly said.
"Yeah, oh my god." Aubrey muttered before crashing me into a comforting hug. I didn't hug back, I left my arms by my side.
When Aubrey let go of me, I stood up. "I'm just gonna go upstairs for a while. Sorry for worrying you." I started walking away from them.
"Wait, Sydney." Tyler called, but I ignored him.
"Leave her for a while. She'll be okay." Cody mumbled, but I heard loud and clear.
I rushed upstairs to the guest room and rushed inside as I shut the door behind me. I slumped down onto the floor tiredly.
Tired of myself. Tired of trying to get Cody. Tried of being a good person. Tired of life.
I moved away from the door just in case and leant against the wall. I brought my knees up and leant my chin on them. I wrapped my arms around my knees and sighed. I stayed there. I stayed there just in my own world. I was staring into space.
Then I heard a knock on the door. I ignored it, I didn't want to look at or talk to anyone right now. The knock came again but I ignored it. Then after that, instead of a knock, came a male voice.
"Sydney, let me in. Come on, please."
That was Tyler. He sounded so worried, genuinely worried. Should I let him stay worrying for a while? But he is one of my best friends, one I could talk to about almost anything. He was always there for me.
I gave in, I couldn't keep him worrying. I wasn't worth worrying for.
I couldn't say anything so instead, I opened the door and went back to my position.
"Sydney." Tyler breathed. He closed the door and came to sit next to me.
I got up from my position, and sat upright. I looked at Tyler whose eyes were searching mine. God, he was worried.
"What happened, Syd? Since you came downstairs with Cody today, you've been seeming down. Has it got something to do with Cody?" Tyler asked question and question.
I didn't say anything.
"You can talk to me, I'm here for you." Tyler softly pleaded.
So I told him. I told him everything, all my problems. Complications with Cody, then Drake, and I even explained Liam to him. I told him about my nightmare, and I rambled on and on about how I feel.
And Tyler listened intently to all of it. All of my nonsense. All of the shit I told him about, and he didn't once stand up and leave. He stayed with me.
