𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐄―it was the basis for a world between worlds, the game everyone loved to watch. But it wasn't like you had the choice if you wanted to play or not. The annual game that was created by the Gamemaker himself, the leader of the world between worlds, made it so it was hard to escape. The way to become a player was to be voted in by the watchers, who just happened to those in the high society . . .
. . . and they voted one of their own to be a player. Harper Castellan. It wasn't like she was able to run away from the games, the Gamemaker would send his soldiers and kill her if she chose to deny her place as a tribute to the games. Forced to play against nine other players, Nerve was a game of permanent elimination and 'ultimate' glory. There was a price to this game, only one could remain.
A world between worlds, advanced than any place known to man. And yet, she was forced to dip her pale skin against the blood-red cards that would determine what world she was to play in, Earth One. Flashes of a simple world flooded her vision as she watched the world she was to be sent in. And with the left side of her chest flashing red, she lightly touched her clothed body to find her mission set out in stone, floating in front of her: Find the identity of the Flash. Seems easy enough, right? That's where you're wrong . . .
. . . Find the identity of the Flash ―and kill him.
