I was tired of waiting for Alya now. She has been out for more than thirty minutes now.
I looked around my cabin and having nothing to do I went on to check on Nandini.
I opened the door and found the room empty.
"Abb yeh kahan gayi... Mein bore ho raha hun yaar..... "
I shut the door with utter disappointment when I spotted Dad. And he was coming my way.
I stood there waiting for him to approach me and that he finally did.
"So... How's life.... " he asked.
"Not good enough..... "
"I was expecting such a reply!!...... "
"Finding someone?!....... " I asked trying to cut the crap out of the conversation.
"Ya..... "
I raised my eyebrows.
"Joy!! "
"Joy?!..... "
"Umm... I nedeed him to give Nandini these files... For the GM post candidates.... "
Aaah Nandini! And then it struck me....
"I'll give it..... " I said with willingness
"You?! "
"Ya.. Why not... "
"Tum Manik hi ho na... "
"Dad!!...... " I said pointing at the files.
"She's in the conference hall I guess.. "
I faked a smile and took the lift to my new destination.

I opened the file of the respective individual and the first thing that caught my eyes was the passport sized photograph attached to the top right corner of the CV.
It was him!
I hadn't shortlisted him then how come his profile was here!! Shit Arav Sir. He had selected two more candidates. God! How many more tests did you want to take at one damn time.
I was busy in the turmoil when I heard a knock on the door.
"Come In.... "
I looked up from the file towards the door.
"Good morning........ Nandini???? " he exclaimed.
I stood up and faked a smile.
"Long time yaar.... " He took a step towards me.
"You may leave... " I said stubbornly
"Excuse me..... "
"I said.. You may leave.... "
"Interview..... "
"Rejected.... You may leave.... "
"What the hell..... Tum uss incident ko leke abhi taak mujhese cross ho..... "
"I said...... YOU MAY LEAVE..... "
"Nandini.... Mera career... "
"Career ko kuch nahi hoga...... "
I turned to the voice.
"Baas issi ki kaami thi!! " I whispered to myself.
Aiyee appa! Just throw these two out of my lives.
