I was on the road for hours. I didn't stop much, mostly for bathroom breaks and food. It was hard to drive with a broken leg, but I had to get to Texas. I eventually got to Blake's house at 3 in the morning. I texted Mrs.Gray and waited for her to open the door.
"I'm so glad you came." She hugged me. "Oh goodness, how did you manage to drive here with that?" She looked at my cast. I smiled a little. "I knew I had to get here."
"Well, the guest room is right up the stairs and the first door on the left. Do you need any help?" She yawned. "No, I'm fine. I just want to go to bed." She giggled and led me to the room. Once I was situated, she turned out the light, closed the door, and I was sound asleep.
