[A/N] Hi! What's up? New part, yay!
Anyways, let's begin!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The wind was just a gentle breeze, while the sun was shining in the blue summer sky. The trees around me bustled with life. The path beneath my feet was well-worn but soft as I made my way over to my favorite part of the forest to go after a long day; the waterfall.
My fingers twitched, wanting to reach for my iPod, stashed away safely in my pocket. But it was dead; the only sound that would come through my earphones would be the annoying static.
I soon came to a halt in front of the rushing water that cascaded over the rocky cliff, before pummeling against the pool of water underneath.
The cave is behind the wall of water. I thought to myself.
I started to make my way around the falling water, until I shuffled my way to the cave behind the falls. I stepped into the hole behind the water and examined the damp and dark interior; making sure there was nothing deep in slumber, awaiting the moment to wake. Fortunately, nothing was there. I strolled into the darker recesses of the cave, where a blunt stalagmite rested. I did not notice, but reflecting now, I realize how the ground started to glow blue under my feet, and left blue footprints on the black rock.
I sat down and let myself sag over, placing my head on my knees. After resting for a few moments, a foreboding feeling coiled in my stomach. The lack of light felt like it was suffocating me, while the shadows seemed to move. I looked towards the entrance, but for some reason I couldn’t see any light.
That’s when I started to panic.
My eyes grew wide when the cave began to grow with light. The walls of the cave glowed faintly pale-blue, as if the tiny holes in the stone were actually tiny lights, like a million tiny fireflies. Out of no-where, something knocked me off my resting spot and towards the ground below. I squeezed my eyes shut, readying myself for impact with the cold, hard ground but the sudden jolt of pain never came. I was falling. Still falling.
My eyes shot open when my side collided with the ground. I sat there like a bump on a log for a few minutes. I suddenly realized the ground wasn’t like I expected. I sat up, and looked around.
Nope, not in a cave anymore… I thought.
I stood up, and my eyes widened at the landscape before me. The wind sifted through the tall grass-like vegetation, while the creatures around me bellowed out cries to one another. They were all different; one had a head like a bull, and a body that resembles that of a rhinoceros. Another had a head of a chicken and legs and body of a lizard! Many of the creatures were a brilliant fluorescent orange.
The sky above was a green, a little murky but at the same time bright at the same time. The sun was blue. I remembered watching a show about how the hottest suns in the universe were blue.
It was very hot. Like a savannah.
Off in the distance, I could see a city. The buildings looked green and blue, like the sky and sun. They seemed to range from skyscrapers to tiny houses. The city was bigger than any other city I had ever seen before!
Am I dreaming? I thought. Well, no duh you’re not. A snarky voice in my head said. You wouldn’t be able to dream this up on your own!
I nearly jumped out of my skin when I felt something on touch my shoulder. I whirled around, and gave a sharp cry of surprise, then fell backwards into the grass.
[A/N] Aaaaah! Cliffhanger! Haha, oops! It's short, again.
I'm splitting it up into parts because it's a short story! :D
