Part Two of 16: Move On. Enjoy.
Knocks were heard from the door.
"Your Majesty? Its time." a voice was heard from the other side of the hard wood.
The blonde jumped, startled at the calling of her servant.
"Yes, yes. Uumm... Just give me a few more minutes, please." her voice hitched.
"As you wish, my Queen." the servant replied and walked away.
The blonde gripped her window sill. Its time. Time to start the ball. Time to finally see him. After ten excruciating years, she was finally going to see him.
She fidgeted her dress and looked at her hairdo. Was it right? Would it impress him? Should she wear make up? What if he thought the dress was too much?
Thoughts jumbled all over her head.
Would he even come? What if he hated her for not visiting him for ten years? Was he dating someone else? What if he worked up the nerve to ask Jackie out?
She shook her head and sighed. What was she thinking? Of course he would come! They were best friends after all.
The Queen of Mewni straightened her posture and headed to the ball room. Where her subjects awaited her to officially start the ball.
Meanwhile
The brunette took one final look at his attire. He hoped it could take Star's breath away. He sighed dreamily, taking the invitation and headed out the door.
~~~~~~~
He checked his watched, his eyes widened. He called out to his parents from outside the house. A Mewni carriage waited for what seemed like forever beside him. He tapped his foot impatiently.
"Mom! Dad! We're thirty minutes late! How hard is it to change anyway?!" he yelled.
The married couple emerged from the doorway and laughed.
"Don't worry, honey." his mother replied.
"Star won't end the ball without seeing you."
Marco sighed, and they entered the carriage.
"Finally!" the coachman shouted, ripped a portal open, and drove them to Mewni.
~~~~~~~
The ball was a blast. The queen managed to break tradition and make it like the awesome parties they had in Earth. The room glowed from red to blue to all the colors of the rainbow.
It was great, but it never matched the parties Marco would throw. The blonde took a sip from her punch and looked around.
Royals and other guests admitted this was the most unique and the most fun ball they have encountered. She gave them small smiles. All she wanted was to see those chocolate brown eyes, dark brown hair and that cute little mole.
She walked outside to the castle garden. She needed some fresh air and away from the madness that hollered inside.
She felt a warm and comforting hand touch her shoulder.
~~~~~~~
As the carriage halted, the brunette instantly sprinted out and headed to the castle.
Two guards blocked his entrance and he showed them his invitation. They eventually let him past and he darted to the alternating lights that was the ballroom.
He stared in absolute shock. The ball was more like the ones he had back home. He imagined it would be more like a graceful ball with steady music and guests just talking around quietly. But with Star being around, it was always a life of a party.
His head shifted from one spot to another. Eagerly wanting to see those blue eyes that pierced through his soul.
After what seemed like forever of searching he decided to take a quick sip from the punch bowl.
As he walked to where he knew the drinks would be. He caught a glance of blonde hair from outside.
Blonde hair...blonde...blonde hair? Wait... Maybe it was Star!
He darted outside the castle and found his way to the garden.
There she stood. Back turned. Looking up to the stars and quietly humming a soft tune.
His heart raced as he came closer. He took one deep breath and put a hand on her shoulder.
~~~~~~~
Her breathing hitched and she whipped her head around to look.
Her eyes widened. It was all she wanted to see. Him. Brown eyes stared dip into hers. Her eyes stinging with tears.
"Marco." she whispered.
"Star."
Without a thought she lunged herself forward, wrapping her arms around him and letting the tears fall down.
"I've missed you so much!"
He embraced her tighter, like he was holding on to dear life. Finally letting the tears fall down.
"I've missed you too!" he spun her around.
The two laughed and shared another hug.
"I never got to tell you something before you left." he whispered into her ear.
"What?" she raised a brow.
"I love you."
And just then, he smashed her lips onto hers. Her eyes widened and closed soon after. Her hands traveled to the back of his neck and he grabbed her waist deepening the kiss.
Cheers and applauses were heard. They reluctantly stopped and looked at the crowed of guests and royals, along with their parents cheering them on.
"Well it looks like our queen has finally found herself a king!" the former Queen of Mewni laughed.
Mr. Diaz wiped a tear from his eye.
"My son has finally become a man." he wailed and sneezed on Mrs. Diaz's skirt.
Star and Marco laughed and looked back at each others gaze.
"I love you too." she said with half lidded eyes.
"Now where were we?" he asked mischievously, before dipping her and sealing the gap between them again.
Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed this part two. I like how it ended. Sorry for the long wait. I was just busy and stuff. Don't forget to vote and comment! Till next time!
