I couldn't believe what I just witnessed. Niall, the Niall from Stargazer.com? My mind stayed uninterrupted with the odds of Niall staying here. I never got to meet the rest of her family since they lived in Ireland. Who knew that Niall was related to them in some way?

I changed into a nice top and jeans, trying to focus on my actions before I mess up that too.

"Everything okay?" Lilly glanced at me with a concerned look on her face.

"Um, yeah. A little." I nodded. "When's dinner?"

"We're having dinner in half an hour." She said as she sat on the bed. "Come on, tell me what's bothering you." She patted the spot next to me, a reassuring smile on her face.

I huffed, glancing at her. "How do you know something's bothering me?"

"Please! You always get quiet whenever something happens." Lilly shrugged. I wasn't surprised that she noticed my silence. That's how I knew she was my best friend.

I reluctantly sat next to her on the bed, thinking of the right words to say in my mind. I looked at her and took a deep breath. "Niall is the guy I have been talking to online. We've been talking for a few months now and we have video-chatted, but I never knew we would end up meeting like this."

Lilly gasped slightly. "You mean an online-dating website?"

I nodded while rolling my eyes. I hated that term. "Y-yeah, basically."

"Jess, that's crazy!" Lilly laughed. She laughed because she's surprised I would go that low to find love. I knew it was stupid but now I'm stuck in a situation. Niall is here, somewhere in this resort. What if this was fate?

Lilly continued to talk. "I never knew you were looking for someone, especially on a dating website. I should've set you up with one of the models that I work with-"

"No, you didn't have to." I shook my head and stood up. "I don't really want to talk about this anymore." I told her. I didn't want her to laugh at my face some more about my love life. She was my best friend, but at times she could get a little carried away.

Lilly frowned, stopping her sentence. "Oh Jess, sorry.. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."

I nodded. "It's fine, let's just go to dinner." I changed the subject and put on a small smile for her. We walked downstairs and to the restaurant.

I found Niall making his way through, walking to his seat of choice. Everyone was already sitting down, and I wasn't sure what to do next. I felt Lilly nudging my arm for attention. "There's an empty seat beside James! Go!"

And before I could steal the last empty seat opposite of Niall, Lilly ran to take that spot.

I glanced around, seeing that the only spot left was next to him. We locked eyes for a second before I shyly walked my way to him.

I reluctantly sat beside Niall and stayed quiet. I was hoping that someone in the family would say something.

As we waited for our food, the whole family laughed at the funny jokes each other said. I mostly stayed silent but had a tiny smile appear on my face. I felt like I was put in the most uncomfortable situation, having the guy of my dreams sitting awkwardly beside me. I couldn't even think of what to say to him. Lilly would give me looks, hinting me to try and talk to other people in the family, but I didn't want to. I rarely knew anyone.

Finally, all of the food arrived and everyone's excitement rose. "So, let's eat?" Lilly's uncle named Jon told us and the family clapped, ready to eat the delicious food that laid in front of us. They all ate, and without any thought I watched them do so.

Elaine called my name and I quickly looked at her. "Yes?"

Elaine giggled softly. "You haven't touched your food yet."

"Oh, right. Sorry." I laughed a bit and ate a piece of my mashed potatoes, which were delicious by the way, though I tried to focus more on my food than the conversations happening around me.

"Here, pass this to James. He wants his share." Lilly's aunt Erin passed an appetizer plate to me. I had to give it to Niall.

"Jess.."

My heart lightly fluttered as he said my name for the first time. I passed the plate of appetizers to Niall, and forced my eyes to look up at him. "Yeah?"

He stared at me slowly. "Um, how are you?"

I forced myself to not stare up at him for too long. It might've been obvious. I wasn't sure why Niall asked me this, as his first time speaking to me. We were so comfortable talking to each other online. Why was he acting differently? I nodded to him. "I'm fine."

"Hey Jess, is James bothering you?" Uncle Jon said to me, which caught my attention. "Or was he flirting with you?"

Everyone in the family hollered and cooed, smiling at me in a creepy way. I shook my head in embarrassment. "No."

"James has this way with girls, don't be surprised if you start falling for him." Aunt Stephanie mentioned.

Niall next to me grinned from ear to ear, blushing slightly. "I mean I'm charming, I must say. Who knows, Jess might be the one for me." He chuckled, having everyone react with loud cheers.

I chewed on my bottom lip, glancing the other way from everyone as they stared at me. I truly felt out of place here. I didn't smile at his somewhat arrogant response. I just wanted to get out now.

They cheered for me and I couldn't help but shift uncomfortably. I slowly stood up from my chair and mumbled an "Excuse me," and walked out from the scene. I headed to a lonely hallway as I tried to relax my mind and my uneven breathing. Their commotion was too much for me. I needed to breathe.

Was this really what I was hoping for? What I wanted this vacation to be? I wasn't sure if I could take it any longer. I leaned against the wall and stared down at my heels, as I suddenly heard someone calling my name.

I turned to look at Niall walking over to me, my breathing once again becoming irregular. He didn't have to come for me but he did. He stood in front of me, concerned. "Hey, what's wrong? Are you alright?"

I couldn't stare up at him in the eyes. "I'm- uh.."

I then felt his hands cup my cheeks, ever so softly, my eyes now having to look up at his. His gorgeous lips were in a frown as he tried to understand my saddened face. "You're looking a little pale, Jess." He whispered as his thumb stroked my cheekbone. With a delicate touch like that, I could already feel like I was struck by lightning.

My face flushed. "I was just nervous during dinner. Sorry."

"Don't feel sorry, it's okay. I'm here with you.. just like I promised when I spoke to you in the webchat. Remember?" Niall slowly leaned into me and pressed his lips with mine. I was trapped again, but I was this time trapped by his surrounding affection towards me. I decided to break free from my nerves and let my arms wrap around his neck, not breaking the kiss. I didn't want to question why he randomly kissed me, but instead allowed it. I wanted his lips to be with mine ever since forever.

His hand trailed down to my hips as he pulled me closer to him. I continued to kiss him more, the kiss quickly escalating. I had to stop the kiss to take a breather. He chuckled lowly, his hands still on me. "Let's continue this later, okay?"

I nodded with a small grin on my face, giving him one last kiss before we made our way back to the dinner table.
