This year, the number of tourists who would apply for e-Tourist Visas is expected to cross 10 lakh due to the immense success of the concept. It is even double than the previous year's visa applications.
A reliable source, acknowledged with the matter, said, "We are planning to issue around 10 lakh e-Tourist Visas this year." The Tourist Visa on Arrival (TVoA) was introduced on November 27, 2014, by the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).
