Jungkook

This day seemed more strange than usual. That was because Jungkook wasn't sure exactly how to feel about his last day of class. Every last day was, of course, relieving, knowing their is no homework to stress over, no early hours to wake up to, and not having to sit in a classroom full of classmates you would rather not socialize with. But something just didn't seem exact, and that was the fact that today was Jeon Jungkook's last class with Park Jimin, ever. He just wished he would get to see him every few days like he does now. The reality of Jimin's presence not being there, at all, in any of Jungkook's college years made him vaguely gloomy. But he decided that he needed  to face Jimin, just to enjoy it one last time.

It was when Hoseok's existence planted next to Jungkook, that he remembered it was the last day.

"HEY JUNGKOOK!"

Almost jumping out of his skin, Jungkook recollected himself before replying calmly, in contrast to Hoseok's screaming.

"Hi- what's up?"

Hoseok seemed too excited for his own good.

"Nothing much- I'm just rEALLY happy."

Jungkook questioned why, although he had instant regret.

"becAUSE IT'S THE LAST DAY DUH- AND I HAVE A GIG TONIGHT, IT'S LIKE DOUBLE TROUBLE!"

If Jungkook's ears weren't bleeding yet, they were on the verge of it at the moment.

"Oh- wow, okay-"

The entrance of the classroom meant freedom. Jungkook nearly sprinted to his seat, plopping down next to Jimin. He was sketching a leaf on his paper, not taking notice of Jungkook.

"Jimin-"

He almost whispered, debating on whether he wanted to bring Jimin out of his "zone." Jimin took a glimpse before placing his pencil down and grinning widely, so his eyes disappear.

"Hey Jungkook, how are you?"

Jungkook found comfort in Jimin's simple question. He hadn't known why, but he thought, maybe, it was because Jimin generally cared about Jungkook. But then he wasn't sure how to answer. It was a simple question, but there was no simple answer to give, he decided. Jungkook just liked Jimin so much, he didn't like the thought of becoming more distant with him. But he couldn't find it in himself to straight out say it.

He just stared at Jimin's unfinished drawing silently. Jimin's expression changed to a look of confusion, he went to ask Jungkook if he was okay, but Jungkook stopped him.

Maybe I should just give the simple answer.

"I'm fine, Jimin."

Jungkook made sure for it not to come off as hostile, but just as reassuring, like he had answered Jimin's unspoken question. Jimin nodded in response, picking up his pencil and continued sketching as he spoke.

"So, do you have any plans this summer?"

Broadly thinking, Jungkook was hit with realization that this was the first time he had actually thought about summer, he had no idea what he was doing.

"No, not really, what about you?"

He heard Jimin's breathy laugh, as his eyes didn't fail to leave eye contact with his picture.

"Just art- that's pretty much it."

Jungkook nodded, biting his lip anxiously. Silence grew over the two for a few moments, letting the only sound between the two be the scribbles of Jimin's pencil dancing around the paper that lay in front of him.

"...Jimin?"

"Hm?"

"Wanna go to the coffee shop with me when you can?"

The sounds of the scribbling stopped and Jungkook watched the red-head look up and lock eyes with him momentarily.

"Yeah, that sounds nice, what about after this class?"

If Jungkook recalls correctly, Jimin had art class after this.

"But, don't you have art right after this?"

Jimin giggled ever so slightly, covering his bright beam with his sleeve.

"It's okay, I can skip the last day, what are they gonna do, expell me?"

The smart comment gave Jungkook a few laughs, before he agreed.

"Good point- then I guess we can go."
