"Your agonizing screams fill me with determination," The pale skinned male said, as his one menacing blue eye stared at me.
I looked away, blood pouring down my face and landing on the ground.
"How come you don't talk, but you kill rather feverishly?" Sans asked as he moved his hand upwards.
I was suspended in mid air, feeling the hair on the back of my neck prickle.
When I didn't answer, Sans moved his hand to the left in one quick movement, and I was slammed into a tree.
Lights danced before my eyes as I was dropped back onto the ground, and I coughed up blood.
"This is what you get when you try and hurt my brother. What did Papyrus ever do to you?" Sans asked, stepping forward.
"My family.... Underground.... Death..." Those words were the only things I managed to get out.
Sans only smiled as he held my face in his hands. "Well, lucky for you, you got an easy escape. Looks like Papyrus needs me."
And indeed, Sans was right. Papyrus was calling him.
As Sans ran back through the trees and onto the path, I slumped onto the ground, unconscious...
"Do you have everything?" Toriel asked me as I stood beside the doorway.
"Yep. Food, clothes, water, and my soul," I replied as I flung open the door.
"Very good, Lunar. Well, see you in maybe a day or so! I love you!" Toriel said as she wrapped her arms around me.
I smiled warmly and returned the hug. "Stay safe!" Toriel called after me.
"I will!" I yelled back.
And with those final words of departure, the door shut with a bang, and I was on my own.
I walked down the sullen path, pulling my neon green hair into a ponytail. I was still pondering why Toriel hadn't let me go out last year, when I collided with a man a little shorter than I was.
"I'm sorry!" He said.
"It's alright," I replied as I grinned.
"I'm Sans, by the way," Sans said as he held out his hand. "You must be new to the Underground, I suppose?"
I nodded my head and said, "I'm Lunar. Lunar Collin."
"AND I'M THE GREAT PAPYRUS!!!"
Both me and Sans jumped.
"Sorry 'bout that too. Papyrus is a bit... Special.." Sans reassured me as a man almost identical to Sans approached us.
He was a lot taller than me, and wore a red scarf. I introduced myself to Papyrus and he said, "How come Toriel never informed us?"
"I have no idea," I said truthfully.
Sans, who hadn't said anything throughout the whole conversation, muttered, "We need to tell you everything there is to know about the Underground..."
My face split into a grin as Sans started telling me everything from yellow scientists, to evil demonic flowers. By the time he finished, a small a lump formed in my throat.
"Hey, Lunar? What's the matter?" Papyrus asked.
"Nothing," I lied.
After that, I set off on my own again, my heart thumping rapidly in my chest...
