(A/N) and sorta a rant. You can skip the rant if you want.

So you guys know the scene in AOU when Maria Hill and Steve are talking about how the Maximoffs got their powers. Maria said something about the kids volunteering to b experimented on. Then Steve replied, "Right. What kind of monster would let a German scientist experiment on 'em to protect there country.

I don't know if you guys can understand the importance of this scene. This scene is extremely important and it's why I'm angry at people who say that Steve's characterization sucked. Steve is the only one who understands where these two kids come from. Hill is trying to distant Steve from them because right after he says the line she say's: "We're not at war anymore.".

She's trying to prove that Steve did the right thing because when the country is at war we all make some hard choices that we are not proud of. In the war everything is permitted, and Steve did the rght thing because he was doing it for the right cause. Hill is saying, 'You did it to protect your country and to save people and to make a difference, but these kids have no excuse for volunteering to these scientists.'

But how does Steve reply to that? To her 'We're not at war anymore'?

He says, "They are"

And it is SO important because Steve sees the big picture. For most Americans the war is something ugly that ther grandparents had to deal with. Something in the distant past that left a mark but it also way behind them. Just because there wasn't a war in America for over 70 years doesn't mean that other countries have been so lucky. And Steve GET'S IT. It doesn't mean that he's not mad.It doesn't mean that he will not fight them if they're on the opposing sides. But he knows where they come from. And he won't let them be reduced to some monsters who let German Scientists experiment on them.

Because if Steve was anything but American during World War 2, if he wasn't on the 'winning team', he wouldn't be labeled as hero.

Steve gathered all the young Avengers in the training room. He had to give them a lecture about them being too young to be superheros. They are all currently in the bst rainnig Facility which is in upstate New York.

The recruits lined up and shifted nervously on there feet. They were worried about what Steve was going to tell them off about. They were all prepared to stick up and explain why they made up there own mission and decided to take down one of the main Terriorist groups on the Avengers raidar.

Steve walked looked down at the recruits with an icy stare. He then preceeded to tell the young Avengers sternly, "You're too young to be super heroes, you could have gotten serously hurt..."

Mean while Bucky was walking down the hall way and heard the lecture that Steve was giving the young Avengers. Bringing back memories in the 40's when Steve was little and reckless. Bucky then runs down the hall way and pinpoints where Steve and the young Avengers crew is.

During Steve's lecture THE ONE AND ONY BUCKY BARNES appeared out of thin air.

"SORRY CAN YOU BACK THAT UP I THOUGHT MISTER BACKALLEY HERO HERE WAS TALKING ABOUT RECKLSSNESS LIKE IT'S NOT HIS MIDDLE NAME!"

Steve hearing Bucky's rant got all pale face and looked like a ghost. His cheeks then heated up to a vibrant pink.

"Hey! Buck I think thats enough! I'm pretty sure they get the point." Steve tried telling Bucky.

That in turn just fired up Bucky's rant even more.

"NO STEVE, THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW STUPID AND RECKLESS YOU WERE ND STILL ARE. TAKE A SEAT KID, YOU'RE ABOUT TO LEARN." Bucky yelled at Steve.

The super soilder put his hands up showing that he surrendered and sat down on the floor. He then put his head in his hands and dragged his hands down his face to show his frustration.

One of the kids in the young Avengers program, his name is James, whispers to the kids next to him, "They fight like a married couple. Now I want to hear about all the trouble that 'Mister BackAlley Hero' got into."

Bucky continued on his agressive story, completly disregarding what James said, and kept telling about how reckless Steve was pre-serum. The Young Avengers were amused about the whole situation. What was supposed to be a day of scolding and misery, turned out to be a humorous one with stories told about the 'BackAlley Hero' who got his ass handed to him everyfight pre-serum days. And how the Dashing soilder saved him every time.
