"You ruined our lives, you filthy little brat!"
"Don't come near us!"
"We're leaving for Mountain Ebott at six o'clock!"
All these words were being shot at me as I shook uncontrollably. I tried to scream, I don't want to go!, but the words just didn't come out, and I was silently screaming into oblivion.
"C'mon, you nasty, little, ungrateful bitch," My father said as he scooped me up.
I screamed and kicked and punched with all my might, but I could do nothing. Our house was at the very bottom of Ebott, and it would only take minutes for us to reach the top.
My body shook like mad again, and finally we found the hole in the middle of Ebott. My father and mother looked at me and shook their heads.
"I always thought you were better than that, Lunar," They said in unison.
Then, I was tossed down the hole...
I woke up, my head aching badly and Toriel at my side, shaking me.
"Lunar! I've been trying to get you up for the past hour!" She said as she ran back to the kitchen. I massaged my head, sighing.
I've had the same dream since I was twelve, and it only came up the night before my birthday.
It was awful.
As I slipped out of bed, I pulled on my slippers, and yawned.
"Happy seventeenth birthday, Lunar!" Toriel said excitedly as she presented me with a butterscotch and cinnamon cake.
"Aw, thanks Toriel!" I said, giving her a hug.
"And after you finish your cake, I have a special surprise for you!" Toriel said as she walked out of the room. I ate a couple of slices of cake, feeling cheerfully happy.
I finished up the last crumb on my plate and walked to meet Toriel at the bottom of the staircase.
"Okay, Lunar. Well, you know how you said that you wanted to go outside?" She asked, clasping her hands together.
"Well, since it's your lucky seventeen, I decided that I'll let you go out now!" Toriel finished.
I couldn't believe my ears.
Why was Toriel letting me go out now, and not last year?
And then, I remember friendliness pellets and shuddered. I definitely wasn't going to let that happen again...
