THIRD PERSON POV:
*in Texas*

Riley and Maya stepped out of their room dressed in one of their Texas outfits. At once all eyes landed on them. Farkle, Lucas and Zay all had dumbfounded looks on their faces.    "Whoa..." Slipped out of Zay's mouth.

"Nice to see your girls all Texas'ed up huh?" Pappy Joe remarked. Crossing his arms on his chest.

"Yeah..." Lucas said. Riley smiled at him then walked over towards the window.

Lucas sat on a bench at the rodeo, Maya and Riley had gone to look around. He looked up to see Zay sit next to him. "So, you ready to ride tombstone?" He asked.
"What do you think? I'm probably going to die.." He replied.

"So you really like Riley?" Zay turned to look right at him.

"What?"

" 'cause I been thinking, Vanessa don't like me, the girls at John Quincy Adams don't like me. But Riley and Maya seem really cool."

"Dude, are you saying you wanna date Riley?" Lucas raised his eyebrows in confusion.

"Well, there's two of 'em, and when I first came to New York I thought she was your girlfriend, and I see you two flirting and stuff, but nothing ever happens." Zay replied

"It's complicated. I don't know if we're ready to date, we tried once under peer pressure but we weren't ready and broke up."

"Well it's been a long time since then, and you obviously really like her. I mean when Farkle told you that she was being bullied you straight up broke the handles off the cupboards at Topanga's!" He exclaimed. "Maybe now's the time to make your move." Lucas turned to look at the ground for a moment. Contemplating what Zay just said.

"If I survive riding the bull... I'll tell her how I feel."

"You will survive, because she'll be there cheering you on." Lucas then turned back to Zay, realizing something.

"Wait... So you want to date Maya?" He asked

RILEY POV

Me and Maya walk across the grass. Looking at all the sights and the different animals. I still can't believe Lucas is going to ride a bull. Why did me and Maya sign him up for this? I mean yeah I want him to succeed but what if he gets hurt? Or worse...
"Hey look, that sign says bulls are this way!" Maya grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the bull pens. My eyes widened as I saw a pale brown Bull in a pen. Maya was reading the small sign on the gate. "Says this ones name is Buttercup." The bull is huge...
"He's supposed to ride this for more than 3 seconds?!" I gasped. Maya turned to look straight at the bull, her eyes widened as well and she bit her lip.

"Yeeesh.." Were the only words that escaped my best friends mouth.

"Maya this man cow is giant!" I exclaimed. Lucas is going to die! Maya turned and looked past me.

"Wait til you see Tombstone the man cow." I spun around to see Lucas staring at me, Zay and Farkle behind him. "Why do you guys hate me?" He raised an eyebrow as he spoke.

"I could never hate you Lucas." I replied, taking a step forward and straightening his shirt. Lucas smiled at the gesture. Inside I was praying that he didn't get hurt.

"You sure you know what your doing Ranger Rick?" Maya asked.

"I hope so..." Farkle reached out and patted his shoulder.

"Good luck Moral compass." He said. Zay took a few steps forward until he was standing right beside Lucas.

"This bull ain't nothing, just some damn man cow, you can ride a man cow can't ya?" He said with a slight grin. Lucas didn't reply which somewhat worried me, Lucas is one of the people I care about most in the world. If he got hurt because of what me and Maya stupidly made him do I don't know how I would live with myself. I then realized I had been staring at Lucas blindly for the last minute. Farkle gave me a smug look and I gave him a stern one back.  Lucas turned and raised his eyebrows at Zay. Zay slowly nodded while smiling like an idiot. I was confused, did Lucas and Zay know something that we didn't?

"So, you guys wanna head to a barbecue place after the bull riding?" Lucas asked.  I looked at Maya. She was smiling at Zay before she nodded.

"Sounds great, see you at the bull riding." Maya walked off and Farkle and Zay followed. Leaving me standing there, only about 1 or 2 steps away from Lucas.

"Lucas I'm one of your closest friends, your absolutely sure you can ride that bull without getting hurt right?" I asked nervously, it was killing me inside. I had to make sure he knew what he was doing. Lucas smiled slightly and stared at me for a moment.

"As long as your there, I can do anything." He spoke softly. My cheeks instantly got redder as I inhaled, trying super hard not to squeal at the top of my lungs or go YAAAAYYY. Thinking really hard about how to react for what seemed like minutes.  I slowly reached out and grabbed his hand gently while smiling.

"I'm there.."
