Lord Anubis sat on his dark throne, in his dark hall, inside his dark palace
"So she has been banished?" he said, looking down at the Jackal captain who stood below.
"Yes, Great One."
"Good..." continued the Jackal God, "...but not good enough. Do they think I am to be bought so easily? A life must pay with a life and I will have her heart to weigh in my scales. Do we know her name?"
"No, My Lord."
"Do we know where she has been sent?"
"No, My Lord."
"Then find out as you value your life!" Anubis barked and hackles rose along the backs of the great Jackal Dogs that flanked him.
"She is probably living in comfort while my honour remains tarnished. For all we know, she has simply been sent back to her family."
"And if we find her, My Lord?"
"Do nothing. Report to me first."
