Roman POV

"Let me help you with that," I said rushing to her side as she was struggling to balance a stack of files in her hand.

"Thank you," she said sighing. She look tired and frustrated. I furrowed my eyebrows. Stepping close to her as she leaned against her car.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm ... nothing," she whispering. It was clear something was bothering her. I put the stuff in her car and closed the door turning to her.

"Lets go for a walk," I said shoving my hands in the front of my pockets.

"Huh?" She said looking at me confused. I smiled looking at the cute frown she has.

"Come on," I reached my hand out for her to take. She looked at it hesitantly before slowly coming to me and placing her hand on mine. I clasped her small hand by my side as my heat radiated towards her cold hands.

We started walking on the side walk and I rubbed my thumb on the back of her hand. I swear I could feel her slightly stiffen in my grasp. I looked down on her and I could see her cheeks turn lightly pink. I smirked to myself and held her small hand slightly tighter in my large one.

"Where are we going Joe," she asked looking up at me. Those beautiful brown eyes.

"Nowhere just walking baby girl," I said looking up at the sky. I heard her let out a breath of air. I turned to look at her to see her already looking at me.

"Why do you call me that?" She asked looking down looking at our hands.

"Does it bother you?"

"No I didn't say that,I uh..I was.. I um just wondering," she stuttered. She was blushing furiously. I chuckled and she looked up at me confused.

"Relax. And I call you that because your my baby girl," I said looking right at her locking her into a trance.

"Oh," she responded softly looking up at me. I smiled and continued on walking until we reached a bench and sat down.

We sat in silence on the bench taking in our surroundings. The sun was setting and the crickets were starting to make their presence known. I rubbed my hands together taking in the scenery.

"I miss my brother," Robin spoke up suddenly. I turned to her and she stared right ahead at nothing particular. Her eyes were were glassy with un-shed tears.

"He wasn't a good brother but he had his moments were he acted like one and I just miss him," she whispered. She wiped her tears with the sleeve of her shirt.

I put my arm around her and she leaned her head on my shoulder.

"I'm so sorry for your loss," I said sympathetically. She looked up at me with a funny look with her tear stained eyes.

"He's not dead, he's just an idiot," she said with a raspy voice. I just looked at her bewildered. What the hell?

"I really don't know what to say to that," I said confused as ever. She looked back ahead and shrugged her shoulders.

"Me either."

"Do you want to talk about it?" I said starting to rub her arms slowly trying to ease her tension.

"No not really."

As disappointed I was with that answer, I was going to let it go for now. There has to be a reason to why she was crying.

"Tell me a secret," she whispered as she snuggled a little closer to me. She smelled so good today, i could feel my self calm down and get comfortable in this position we are in.
