#4 Jackson/Isaac

22K 415 40

I sat in my slick silver car as I looked upon the Beacon Hill's local diner.  Yes I was back in Beacon Hills.  London was nice but I just felt this pull bringing me back to Beacon Hills.  Some how that same pull had brought strait to the Beacon Hill's diner, I had no idea why.  Frustrated, I was about to start my car and leave when I saw Isaac Lahey exit the diner looking depressed as fuck.  My curiosity got the best of me and I got out of my car to join him.

"So, what's got you down in the dumps?" I asked curiously and matched his stride.  He whipped his head toward me and his jaw dropped.

"You came back" he said, almost smiling.

"Not permanently, so don't get used to it" I smirked as I rolled my eyes.

"Why'd you leave in the first place anyway?" he asked curiously.  I just wagged my finger at him with a disapproving look.

"Nope, you haven't answered my question yet" I stated firmly and he just let out a deep sigh.

"I haven't been sleeping well lately.... nightmares" he admitted softly.  I gave him a small quizzing look.

"Nightmares?  What nightmares could ever plague your sleep?" I asked curiously, Isaac always seemed like the happy guy so I don't see how he could be having bad nightmares.

"Ones about my dad" he said softly and I almost didn't hear it.  I pursed my lips deep in thought, maybe I don't know Isaac as well as I thought I did.

"My dad used to abuse me physically and verbally, he'd lock me in old fridges.  I don't even know why I'm telling you this" he continued as he rubbed his fingers to his temples.  I bit my lip shuddering, who could do such a thing to their kid, especially a kid like Isaac.

"Look, I should probably get back to Derek's" Isaac said and I could tell he was starting to feel uncomfortable "you know Derek, always finds a reason to freak out."  Isaac began to walk away and that's when I decided to speak up.

"It was you, you know" I stated plainly.  Isaac's footsteps faltered and he turned back around to face me.

"What was me?" he asked confused.

"You wanted to know why I left, I left because I was afraid of my feelings for you" I admitted a bit sheepishly "always getting this fuzzy feeling in the pit of my stomach when I saw you, it's still there you know.  What pushed me over the edge to leave though was when I didn't get that feeling with Lidya."  Isaac looked a bit dumb founded and I smiled.

"You left... because of me" Isaac said with an almost guilty look on his face.  Well at least he didn't look disgusted, I practically just told him that I like him as more than a friend.

"No, I left because I was scared of what I felt for you" I explained "you yourself are the reason I'm standing here, back in Beacon Hills.  I like you Isaac and I don't think I can control myself."  Before I knew it I was closing the distance between Isaac and myself and pressing my lips to his, but that wasn't even the best part.  The best part was that he kissed back.
