"Put this on." Dongmin commands as you secure your seatbelt in the lock.
You turn your head to the left to look at Dongmin, but your view is blocked by a neon green blindfold.
You sigh while grabbing the blindfold, "I want to object, but I know I'll end up wearing it anyway." You wrap it around your head and knot the ends, leaning back in your seat once the task is done.
"We'll be there soon." He promises as  the car purrs to life.
*Twenty Minutes Later*
Dongmin parks the car and open the passengers side door, trying-and failing-to steady you as you tumble out of the car and into his arms. He instinctively wraps his arms around you in a bear hug while he attempts to stay on his feet without taking you down with him.
Your body immediately is warmed by his body heat, in contrast with the chilly night air.
Dongmin somewhat-reluctantly releases you from his protective grip, only to move his hands back to your arm. He starts leading you,  occasionally mumbling instructions at you so you don't trip.
You think you're walking on a field since you can feel soft blades of grass underneath your shoes, the long blades tickling your exposed ankles.
"Sorry about picking you up so late. But in order for my idea to work, it had to be dark out." He apologizes in his silvery voice.
"It's okay." You turn in the direction of his voice and flash a reassuring smile.
He was referring to the text you had gotten earlier that day, telling you that he'd pick you up around nine.
"We're here." He announces, slowly lowering you down onto some soft material, most likely a blanket. He crouches to take the blindfold off, smiling slightly while you blind rapidly as your eyes adjust to the dazzling, starry sky. Dongmin lays on the blanket, glancing over at you. "I want to show you something." He declares suddenly, motioning for you to lie next to him.
Soon, he's explaining the twinkling constellations. "That one over there is Andromeda. Those three points are the brightest stars in that constellation." He points them out then looks over at you to see if you're still listening.
You grin and nod, urging him to continue.
He tilts his head back toward the constellation and adds, "those three stars are: Almach, Alpheratz, and Mirach."
"Is there a story behind Andromeda?" You ask softly.
He shifts his body so he's lying on his side, facing you. "There is, would you like to hear it?" He questions, studying you with his dark, curious eyes.
You nod, closing your eyes while listening intently to his soothingly voice.
"Andromeda was the daughter of an Ethiopian, King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia. The Queen was very confident in her looks and bragged that she was prettier than the Nereids.
The Nereids were a group of sea nymphs and they were considered to be absolutely beautiful. When they heard Queen Cassipeia's boasting, they demanded that Poseidon punish the Queen.
Poseidon sent a sea creature, named Cetus, to terrorize Ethiopia.
During the continuous attacks, the King begged an Oracle to tell him what to do so that Poseidon will stop the violence.
The Oracle said that he must sacrifice his daughter, Andromeda to Cetus.
Following the Oracle's instructions, the King chained his daughter to a rock that was on the shore, just bordering the ocean."
You gasp while your eyes fly open. "How can a father do that to his own daughter?!" You exclaim.
He shrugs with a grim smile. "He didn't want his country to be destroyed. I guess he thought it was better for one person to die rather than thousands."
You huff, still in shock.
He chuckles at your surprised expression. "The story has a happy ending."
"Really?" You burst out, completely enraptured with the story.
"A man named Perseus saved her and they ended up getting married."
"Wow." You raise your eyebrows. "He saved her from a sea monster. He's definitely boyfriend material."
Dongmin laughs, scooting closer on the blanket so he can brush a stray strand of hair out of your face. "I guess he is." Dongmin mumbles.
Your gaze naturally falls on his lips and you feel an almost overwhelming urge to kiss him, to see if his lips were as soft as they seemed.
It's like he read your mind, he quickly leans forward and kisses your lips, lingering for a moment before he turns his head to the right. He jumps to his feet, looking panicked and confused. "I'm sorry, I really am. I-just-I." He stutters, his babbling is suddenly cut off by a loud alarm coming from his phone.
You're still lying on the blanket, your minds unable to process anything. It just keeps replaying the stunning kiss on a loop in your mind.
"I need to bring you back, it's ten." He manages to regain his composure. He swiftly turns on his heel and strides towards the car at a fast pace, as if he could outrun the memory of the kiss.
You frown, slowly clambering to your feet.
Another awkward car ride, yay.
