You let out a sigh feeling exhausted after the long day at school. So much studying and so much notes all in just a short period of time. You knew you had a lot to do when you got home, but then another thought popped into your head which caused a smile to grow on your face. You quickly fixed your bag being held on your shoulder as you started to rush home. You quickly opened the door to your tiny apartment and threw your school stuff onto your table.
With that done, you took in a deep breath then closed your eyes. You felt a bit strange then opened your eyes to find yourself laying on the floor fast asleep. You laughed a bit then jumped over to a mirror you had behind the door. Inside, you saw the same girl with (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes with your signature school uniform. Except there was one difference between you and the girl sleeping on the floor. You had a singular bat wing sticking out behind you.
You don't remember how you got it since you discovered you could slip out of your body when you were a young child. Over the years, you've been able to perfect it so now it was a common thing for you. Also, you were able to see these strange creatures that seemed to roam around the city streets without anyone realizing and also notice people that weren't recognized by others. People didn't believe you so you decided it was best to keep quiet about it.
You gave a nod of approval then left the apartment to roam about the city. You hummed along happily as you balanced yourself on sidewalk railings then jumped along electrical lines with no one noticing. You stood on the edge of a tall building just looking at the city lights when you heard footsteps approaching you. You turned around as a smile grew on your face. "Hey, Kazuma!" you slightly shouted while waving at the tall man.
Kazuma smiled lightly as he came closer to you. "It's nice to see you, too. What are you doing at this hour?" he asked politely. The smile grew to your cheeks as you replied, "Just the usual roaming about town. Nothing special." That's when you noticed Bishamon riding a lion on a nearby roof. You frantically waved your arm at her which she gladly returned. The man beside smiled warmly at your childish behavior then started to walk away.
"I have to go now, but I'll see you later, okay?" he said. You nodded as Kazuma left with Bishamon. You jumped off the building til you were back on the city streets. You walked around not really watching where you were going until you harshly bumped into someone. You sat on the floor for a moment while rubbing your head as a hand stuck out in front of you. "Are you ok?" asked someone. You lifted up your head to see a young blonde boy with orange-like eyes.
You took his hand with a slight smile and said, "Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry for bumping into you. I wasn't watching where I was going." He let out a sigh of relief as two more people came to stand behind him. One was a guy in a track suit and the other was a girl in a school uniform. You quickly noticed that she had a tail just as she saw the wing on your back. "You have a wing/tail?!" you both said in unison. The two of you stared at each other for a moment before giggling.
The guy in the track suit scratched his head in confusion then said, "Well, would you look at that? Another half phantom." You did a slight twirl to show off your bat wing then said, "I'll take that as a compliment. So, who are you guys?" You discovered that their names were Yato, Hiyori, and Yukine. The one known as Yato was apparently a God with Yukine as his regalia. Hiyori was a half phantom like you with a cat tail. You smiled warmly at them and said, "My name's (y/n) (l/n). Nice to meet you!"
