-----It's gonna get better i just have to get the basic intro over with, this basically is the beginning of the excitement XD by the way, in no way is this medieval themed, it's just where she begins. Enjoy!
"Don't move." Said a husky voice.
Regardless of what the voice said, I struggled. "L-ll-ett me g-g-oo!" I screeched. Everytime I moved the grip grew tighter until I couldn't breathe.
"I said, don't. move."
Giving up, I sighed. This would be my death. Years of studying, preparing for college, then finally becoming noticed in school, all for nothing. What about my family? Carra? That cute guy in the library who I always checked out? My kitten? I closed my eyes and tried to be brave for my last few moments.
"Just do it already." I said firmly.
The arms loosened a little, I felt a bouncing behind my back. Is this person laughing? Laughing? This person must really be sick if they think my death is funny. The laughing stopped and the grip tightened back up. I closed my eyes again. I felt pressure on my back, as if I was being ushered to walk.
"What? Why are you not killing me?"
No answer. I kept walking slowly. Hm. The silent type.
But this person had the nerve to laugh at me earlier? Tsk. Of course. Typical villain to play with the victims mind. Feeling the muscles tense behind me, I felt a warm flush go to my cheeks. It's not so bad being taking hostage by a muscular guy. I shook my head in disgust at those thoughts. This person wants to hurt me. Why in my right mind would I be attracted to big strong muscles..those yellow eyes... I mentally slapped myself. Coming back to reality I looked around, the scenery had changed quite a bit. How long had I been lost in my creepy thoughts? How did he get us out of that ridiculous maze?
The trees weren't as packed. We were coming close to the end of the forest. Soft, pillowy grass spread across a field. Yellow birds flew around, singing together. It was so happy. Almost too happy. My nose picked up a scent nearby, it was a sweet smell, alluring. My body was drawn to it, I felt myself drifting away. Not before I was whipped back into place in a near choke-hold. This person was ridiculously annoying and controlling.
We walked on. My feet ached, begging for rest. The scent was now gone, and we had moved to a small stone clearing, ahead lined with a golden gate. An arch was in the middle. It was magnificent, something you would picture a Greek god would come home to. The gate creaked opened by itself, and at that point I expected for a harp to begin playing.
But it didn't.
I was pushed forwards to walk into the gated place. It wasn't long until I found myself gaping up at what stood before me. A castle. Was this muscular guy my Prince Charming? I snorted at the thought. This asshole. We walked across a stone bridge, jewels of all kinds adorned the sides. As we got closer, the doors of the castle were cranked open. I stopped in awe, only to be shoved inside.
What is up with this dude? People were gathered in side, most likely for a meeting of some kind.
"But sir, how come---" a woman attempted but was cut off.
"Silence." A man clothed in a robe sitting on a chair higher than the crowd yelled. He had a golden crown on his head, and a shaggy brown beard. A woman sat next to him.
King and queen? Where was I?
The man looked to us, causing the crowd to turn around. "Why hello Malakai, my son, who is your little friend?"
I gulped.
"I found this on the Thornoak path. She is not from here."
Thornoak path? How cheesy...
Scrubbing his beard, the man looked to the woman. She nodded. "Bring her to me." She boomed, blushing as soon as she realized how loud she had been.
Malakai pushed me forwards and I weakly walked towards her. The crowd opened for me to step through, and up the stairs to the woman. I stopped infront of her.
"Hello, my name is Queen Nina. And you are?"
"Uh..uh..." I fought through my mind. Estelle, that's my name! "Estelle."
"Where do you come from Estelle?"
I shrugged my shoulders. " I don't know...." It was the truth. I just woke up in this strange place.
She sighed, "If you can not tell us where you are from, you may not stay here. It is for the safety of our kingdom." The king looked at me and sadly said, "I will have my guards escort you out to the river."
As I was told, two large men escorted me out to a pair of different gates. I took one last look around and met the cold hard yellow eyes of the boy who had captured me. Not for one second did that cold glare leave his eyes. I was pushed through what looked like a village, probably where the non-royal folk lived. Children laughed and screamed, chasing each other around. Women exhausted were doing laundry while the men were hard at work. Chicken and various other farm animals were around. This was so strange. How did I get here? I may have lost some of my memory of who I was but I sure as hell knew that I didn't belong there. The gates creaking open brought me back to reality, and once again I was shoved. I fell to the ground as I heard the two men laughing and the gate creaked back shut.
I spent what felt like forever trying to find a way around. There was a small river...It went up to my hips. I was forced to go through the river to wade to the other side. Scenery around me changed again, from bright and cheery to dark, unknown noises surrounding me. I heard laughter. Covering my eyes with my hands I crouched down. Being a human, curiosity got the best of me, so I peeked between my fingers. A figure stood a little ways away from me. I tried to adjust my eyes to see who or what it was, by rubbing my eyes. When they opened back up, the figure was closer. It was a sack dummy. All my life I had feared them. It seemed silly, but if you were stuck in a theater classroom for an hour after accidentally locking yourself in after school with them, one might be a little scared. That was in kindergarten. Our school had a theater room for little plays that would be held for parents. The doll stared at me. I backed away looking behind myself to make sure I wouldn't trip and fall again. As soon as I glanced back, the doll was even closer. I screamed and tripped. Great. What's up with me falling today? I continued to scream as I backed away, it slowly moving towards me.
"Pff." The noise continued four more times.
What was that? I uncovered my eyes to see that the doll had five arrows perfectly embedded in a line down it's body. My head went wild as I searched for the source, until my eyes met the archer. Sleek black hair and hazel eyes met mine. A boy awkwardly stood above me in a tree. Then he was gone just gone. I was puzzled. All of this is happening so fast. I get kicked out of a kingdom then some dude with a bow and arrow saves me from a sock dummy? Who exactly was this mystery guy...?
