Hibari was never the type of person to show his feelings. He was cold. Distant. Solitary. He had built walls around his heart. Walls that no one ever tried to climb. Until he met you.
You were different. His name sent chills down everyone's spines' but not yours. The first time he had met you he thought you were no different. A herbivore. He glared down at you. Eyes, harsh and unforgiving. Angry that you were late on your first day. "I'll bite you to death" Just as his tonfas were about to hit you murmured "...you're eyes-"
He stopped, deciding to hear out the herbivore's statement"... what about my eyes?"
"They're beautiful..." His eyes widened just a fraction of an inch. Normally he would have still bitten his prey to death and thought it was just fake flattery to escape his wrath. But you sounded so sincere.
"Hn. don't be late again or you won't be so lucky, herbivore."
With that he turned his back on you and swiftly walked away.
Maybe he just needed someone to tell him that he wasn't alone. To love him.
Maybe that someone was you.
