(A/N: kai: sucks at updating stuff. please.... forgive them....)

Lancelot had raced into the bedroom, scaring Anastasia enough for her to jump up from her position on the bed.

Anastasia looked into his eyes to see if there were any clues about the news he would deliver next, but they revealed nothing other than worry.

"Someone's coming." Was all that he had said, and that was enough to get her heart and her mind racing.

"What do you mean, do they know where we are? Are they from the King?"  She asked. Lancelot shook his head.

"I don't know, but they're on horse. I can only assume it is one of the King's men. They were following me as I bolted over here as quickly as I could. There is no time to pack, get only the extreme essentials, get on your horse, and run. I'll try and keep whoever it is off of your trail. Now go." He responded, shoving into her arms her coat.

Ana nodded, and grabbed her dagger off of the nightstand and hurried out. She raced to where Thunder was and climbed onto the older horse.

"Go, Anastasia!" Lancelot said, "Hya!" He hit the back of the horse and Thunder went running out, into the deep woods were her fate was unsure of.

Her heart was beating fast. Would Lancelot be okay? Would she even make it out of the forest? Everything was rushing through her head. Suddenly, she heard rustling coming from her side, and knowing she had no time to run she took out her dagger and came face to face with

"Arthur." Her voice came out more like a whimper than anything else, the sight of him making her want to cry and cry and not stop until all was good.

He gave her a smile and let out shaky breaths before laughing and getting off of his horse, and helping her down her's. He spun her around then held her close, not wanting to ever, ever, let go again.

"You don't know how long I've been searching for you. Are you alright? Hurt?" He asked, immediately looking her over to make sure that everything was okay. She smiled and nodded.

"I'm fine, Arthur. Lancelot has been caring for me. He has a cabin not too far. He told me to run, he had thought that you were .... One of your father's men. But it's you. It's you, and everything is okay once again." She smiled, holding his face in her hands and bringing him down for a kiss. "Come on. I'll take you there, and we can talk."

Lancelot had let them on their own, understanding that they had to talk about so many things, and some of those things private.

They rested on the small bed that Anastasia had slept on for a while now.

"Merlin is fine. You don't have to worry about him. He knows what he does." Arthur reassured her, after she expressed her worries for his safety since he was her brother after all.

"I know he'll be fine, I just," She let out a sigh. "He's my brother. I can't not worry about him."

She worried about him being caught with magic. She knew he always went off every once in a while, who knows where, and she couldn't help but think that it was something to do with his magic.

"Merlin will be fine. He's as strong willed as he is annoying." He smiled, as if trying to cheer her up. She returned the smile, but frowned again quickly.

He frowned as well, then placed his hand on her cheek, gently moving her head for her to face him.

"What's wrong? We can go home, now, Ana." He said.

She shook her head.

"I-I can't Arthur. Your father tried to have me hanged! I doubt he will be any more happy to see me if I return. I'm afraid I can't go back. Not until..." She didn't want to finish the sentence. Uther was still his father, after all.

"Ana, please don't... Please don't say such things... I'm sure he'll-"

"No, Arthur. You know as well as I that he will not." She interrupted. He gave  a small nod, almost invisible.

He didn't want to talk of such things, no, not with her back in his arms.

"I love you." He smiled, kissing her cheek.

"I love you too."

The soft kisses on her cheek turned into less softer kisses on her neck, and well, the rest is history.

In the morning, he gave her as many kisses as he dared, and rode back to Camelot.
