Chapter Twenty-Three

                  Dumantay ang kamay nito sa balikat niya. "We don't know why God allows us to experience such trials. Most of the time, we don't understand His ways. But we don't need to. Ang taong iniisip na mas marunong pa siya sa Diyos ay hangal. Dahil ang mga iniisip ng Diyos, kahit kailan ay hindi natin maiisip. Habang ang mga iniisip natin, iisipin pa lang natin pero alam na alam na Niya. Kaya magtiwala lang tayo. Dahil ang Diyos natin, laging para mabuti ang mga plano Niya para sa'tin.

"And now that I can see you here, it means, He got you out from where you were before. If you'll just come to Him and trust God with all your heart, you can get through anything."

                  "T-Talaga?" Bakit naiiyak siya? Hindi naman siya nag-shift ng mood dahil iba ang pakiramdam niya.

                  "You got the chance to choose, Zoey. It's either you let pain destroy you or you let it change and shape you. It's either you accept yourself to embrace your purpose or still question God for your flaws. It's either you trust Him a hundred percent or not at all."

                  Umiyak na siya na parang bata at yumakap kay Geoff. Ang init-init ng pakiramdam sa puso niya. Matindi siyang tinamaan sa lahat ng mga sinabi ng lalake.

Huhuhuhu.

                  "Now you made my girl cry, Terrence," ani Geoff rito.

                  "I'm sorry about that. I'm sorry, Zoey."

                  Tinignan niya si Terrence. He nicely smiled at her.

                  "K-Kapag ba nagtiwala ako, gaganda ang buhay ko? M-Magiging masaya na 'ko forever?"

                  "Why don't you see it for yourself, Zoey?"

                  "P-Parang ang hirap kasi. Hindi ko naman Siya nakikita. Hindi ko naman nararamdaman ang love Niya."

                  Napatingin ito sa tiyan niya. "I heard you have a healthy baby coming?"

                  "Y-yes..."

                  "And you got an understanding boyfriend?" Napatingin ito kay Geoff.

                  "Yes..."

                  He smiled at her. "How come you cannot feel God's love, then? Don't you feel blessed to have them?"

                  Naiyak na naman siya. Pak! Sapul! Straight to the heart!

                  "Minsan talaga, naka-focus tayo sa mga pangit na bagay kaysa sa maliliit ngunit magagandang bagay sa buhay natin. Kaya hindi natin nararamdaman ang pag-ibig ng Diyos. Dahil hindi naman natin pinapansin. It's not luck that you have Geoff and your baby. It's not luck that we have nice people and things with us. It's all God's blessings intended for us."

                  It's not luck... they are all blessings...

                  "No matter what we are, no matter what we've done, no matter how badly we want to hate Him or not believe in Him at all, He still wants us. He still loves us. That's why He sent His son Jesus and was crucified to wash out all our sins. So we can be with Him," he emotionally said with genuine smile in his lips.

"Iyon pa lang, demonstration na ng great love ng Panginoon sa mga tao. Through Christ, we can freely have Him. Why can't you feel God's love if everyday, you can still wake up? You can still have this life with Geoff and your baby? You can still have a thousand reasons to thank for than to grieve for?"
