When we get back to Starbucks we find Dan and Hilary already waiting for us and still chattering and smiling.
«Already here?» I smile.
«We arrived like two seconds ago!» Dan answers. «So, did you have this infamous, long and secret conversation?»
«Sure! Georgia's interrogation has been hard but I survived» I joke and jokingly elbow my friend.
Suddenly my phone goes off and I take it; it's Shavo.
«Hi, Nikki here.»
«Hi Nikki!»
«Hello! Why were you calling me?»
«I wanted to know if everything's okay and tell you that the guys and I are going out for a walk.»
«Oh! Everything's okay. What about meeting so we go back home together afterwards? Well, I'd also like to introduce my friend to you, since she's a fan of yours...»
«That's okay! Tell me where you are.»
«I'm at Starbucks on Sunset Boulevard.»
«Okay, we'll come soon, wait for us here.»
«See you soon!» I finish, then I put my phone back in my pocket; I see Georgia looking at me with wide eyes.
«Was it one of the guys?»
«Yeah, actually it was Shavo» I smile. «They're coming here, so I'll get two things done, I'll introduce you to them and then go away with them.»
«Oh my God! Can't believe it!» the girl starts to freak out and jump, hugging all of us, acting as a crazy spinner.
«Wait and you'll see» I say, looking sly; in the meanwhile we sit at one of the tables out there.
After five minutes I catch a glimpse of Shavo's bald shining head and of the others, so I get up and walk towards them; in the end I run and I almost crash against the bassist before hugging him and each one of the guys.
«Have you been a good girl?» Serj says, patting on my head.
«Sure, daddy!» I pull out the tongue at him. «Come» I say «I have someone I'd like to introduce to you.»
I fasten my footsteps to go back to my friends and I see Georgia go pale and quite shaky. She's surely very excited.
«Well, guys, this is my friend and your fan Georgia» I introduce her, smiling widely. She's like petrified though, so I invite the guys to make things easier and approach her.
«It's a pleasure to meet you» Shavo says, shaking her hand; the other do the same and Serj even kisses her hand making her face turn bright red, probably he's her favourite.
«Then there are Dan, Georgia's friend, and Hilary, now ex-coworker» I keep going «and Serj and Shavo already know her, since she was with me when they made me the job offer.»
When we're done introducing people we start our walk and we have to divide us in couples since there isn't enough space to walk in a compact group: Serj approaches Georgia and begins a conversation with her, Shavo and John jokingly walk arm in arm, Dan and Hilary keep being close and talking and I end up walking near Daron. I'm sorry for the sarcastic answer I gave him earlier in the afternoon, to be honest, I could ignore or joke too but words came out before I could stop them, as usual... maybe it's better to apologize.
«Daron?» I hesitantly call him, hoping he's not going to ignore me.
He turns and looks at me without a precise expression. «Yeah?»
