I was going to be in so much trouble! To make things worse my dad walked in. Just great. Great great great great great.
"Hi Hailey do you have a friend over?" My mom smiled sweetly but the coldness in her eyes paralyzed me. Apparently Ryan thought so too.
"Uhh I was just leaving. Can I talk to you outside for a minute Hailey?" he asked hesitantly.
"Yeah" I replied trying to delay my unavoidable death as much as possible.
My mom smiled again as I passed her and my dad gently shoved me so no one would notice but to also warn me he was going to have my head after Ryan left.
"Come on we're going" Ryan whispered.
"Where?" I asked curiously.
"To my house of course. I can't let you stay here with them! They look like they're about to kill you!" he exclaimed quietly.
"I can't do that!"
"Yes you can and you're coming!" he demanded pulling me towards his car three driveways away from my house.
"GET THEM!" Dad yelled as me and Ryan sprinted towards his car. I got in and quickly closed my door and Ryan did the same. My parents were a little behind us since they had a late start and they were getting quite old. Raggedy bones and all that jazz. My dad was swearing that the next time he got his hands on us he will kill us. That made my heart beat stop. Ryan quickly started the car and drove.
I sighed in relief as we lost them.
"That was a close one" Ryan said as we pulled up on his street.
"Agreed" I replied back.
My eyes started to droop slowly but I forcefully opened them again.
"You can sleep if you want you know" Ryan said amused.
"I know but I don't want to"
He just shook his head and put on a song. It was My Immortal by Evanescence. (A/N if you don't know this song check it out it's amazing)
My eyes started to droop again and this time I did sleep. This song related to me so much. When we got to Ryan's house I went upstairs and collapsed on his bed. I freaking hate it when I'm so tired my head starts to hurt and by hurt I mean actual pain. Ryan came and laid down next to me and we soon went to sleep.
