7. Lullaby

Not many people questioned my new oufit today, luckily. Laurence , Garroth and Dant did but I just said I wanted to wear something new and easier to move around in. Dante easily believed me but I don't think Garroth and Laurence believed me at all. It was quite boring today , I guess the highlight of the day was when I saw Antomio and Malachi play. It was refreshing to hear a kids laugh throughout the village.

My mind drifted to Antonio, its weird I don't know him but I feel like I can trust him with my life, he gived me a weird sense of comfort. Like I could trust him with my life.
Like Sly.. I stopped in my tracks when he came up to my mind I shook my head and slapped my cheeks 'No! Don't think of him! He most probably hates you or something!'

I continued heading down the stone path up to my house and I saw it. It was like a movie scene I came up the stairs in the perfect time to see it. Antonio was playing with Malachi like he was his dad and Malachi was laughing and smilling like he was his son. I smiled almost instantly when I gazed upon this scene.

I chuckled and they turned towards me. Antonio quickly turned red when he saw me (for some reason? I don't know why) and put Malachi down.

"Momma!" Malachi laughed out of glee and ran towards me.

"Hey Malachi!" I greeted my son and took him on my arms, I looked back to Antonio.
"Thanks for taking care of him today" I smiled gratefully
"I-I wasn't a problem!" He stuttered but quickly regained his stance "I mean, it was a pleasure to spend the day with such a wonderful kid"

"Thanks anyway" I looked towards Malachi "Say thank you to Mr Antonio!"

Malachi turned towards Antonio and with a toothy grimn he spluttered out "Thank you Mr Antonio!"

Antonio walked up to us and ruffled Malachi's hair "No problem kiddo." He looked up to me "Have a nice day M'Lord"

Then he walked of down the stone path , I turned around slightly and waved him goodbye and I softly said "Bye"

I looked back to Malachi "Come on Malachi , its sleepy-time." I said as I was walking into the house him still in my arms.
Malachi pouted "But mom! I don't want to sleep!"
"Why not?" I questioned.
"My dreams are weird!" He told me.

I chuckled as I went up the stairs "All dreams are weird"
He shook his head. "But my dreams are weeeeird!" He largened the weird.

I giggled "Sometimes something weird might be something familiar seen from a different angle" I put my hand to his cheek "And that's not scary, right?"

We entered his and Levin's room, Levin was already asleep.
Malachi nodded and buried his head to chest. I stroked his hair and set him down on his bed covering him with his blanket. I sat down on the side of the bed. "Do you need anything?" I asked him in a motherly tone .

"Can you sing me a lullaby?" Malachi asked embarrassed.
I smiled "of course"

Lets go to the garden..

I started singing softly.

You'll find something waiting.

Right there where you left it , !ying upside down.

Malachi's eyes started to close.

When you finally find it

You'll see how it faded.

His eyes were halfway closed.

The underside is lighter

when you turn it around.

Malachi was sleeping now.

I smiled and stood up from the bed. I bend over to kiss his foreehead and I did the same to Levin.
