Logan Lerman as Travis ^^^

*

ASHTON

I look over Gabriel's features. His eyes are closed. His long lashes resting on his soft tan cheekbones.

His hands wrapped around my neck.

It's all so real to him.

But not to me.

I'm doing this to get the alpha position. I'm not doing this to have a mate bond with him. That will never happen. The worst part is that he actually believes me, humans are so stupid and naive.

I really need to thank Travis for dragging me to those acting lessons.

I close my eyes and slowl pull away. I softly place my forehead against his to the pretend I've had my eyes closed the whole time.

I fake a small gasp when I open my eyes. My brown eyes instantly connecting with his blue green. They look so shocked, as if he couldn't believe what just happened.

I fake a huge smile. It looks so believeable though. It shows in his eyes, Gabriel believes me. His eyes softly flickering from my lips to my eyes.

"Wow," He mutters, I see him his pink lips lift up in a smile as he says so. I nod with a fake grin.

Remember Ashton. To be alpha, you need to be a fag.

"That was amazing," I quickly lie. Gabriel thinks I'm sincere though, I should become an actor. Gabriel nods, a small smile plastered on his face.

"I would really like you to go out with me. I'm sorry, but I'm not ready to come out though. I'm scared," I act. I force myself to act sad and fake tears fills my eyes.

Gabriel softly place his hands on my face. His thumbs brushing away the fake tears running down my face.

"It's alright Ashton. Take all the time you need, I'll be here," Gabriel says softly. He leans in for another kiss which I have to accept or he'd get suspicious.

I roll my eyes and start moving my lips against his. I know there's a connection, the way my body sparks up at his touch. I will never admit it though.

When I feel his warm body pulling away I close my eyes again, to then open them so I look passionate about the kiss.

"Friday," I breathe out. Gabriel smiles widely, his eyes filling with pure joy.

He nods with a small grin.

"I'll pick you up. Wear something casual," I fake smile. Gabriel nods and hugs me, sparks errupts everywhere but I shrug it off. It doesn't mean anything.

There is no way I'm going to be a fag.

"I don't know where to fucking take him!" I yell frustrated. Travis shrugs. Travis is my best friend and next in line to be beta. He's one of the nice guys in the pack, that doesn't drink or sleep around. He's a sophmore so I don't see him a lot since I'm a senior.

"Ashton, I know I'm your best friend and all. But you messed up big time. Like why reject your mate?" Travis asks.

His brown hair sticking in every direction as his wide blue eyes stare into mine. I just shrug in reply.

"I just don't want to be a faggot," I tell him. I see Travis sigh and look down. I frown, obviously confused but I shrug it off, it's probably nothing

Travis huffs loudly. "If I was going on a date. I'd want to go on a picnic on a hill, watch the sunset and cuddle."

I stare at Travis in confusiob. His eyes are sparkling, like they're in a dream. It's also in the way his voice sounds so longing. Like he really wants it, like he long for this date. I just shrug it off like I do with everything.
