"No," I wined in my seat, my head on the window. "I hate going here. You know that."
At that my mother scoffed.
"No you don't. You just say that every time, but when we leave you're always smiling."
"That's not true at all." I mumbled in my seat, twisting the ring on my finger. Although, I knew it was. I couldn't help it. Our Doctor was a catch. Tan skin. Dark hair. Tall & skinny. Sharp jawline, hard chest ( don't ask me how I know ). He clearly works out. The best part of my month is when he has to check my breathing and puts his hand up my shirt.
I know I know.
But I'm not sorry...
"So, this time I'll have to leave you alone with him, which you should be fine with because you're sixteen. I have to pick up your brother from his soccer game."
"Oh..." I said, already feeling woozy. As if my ability to breathe was slowly being taken from me. "That's fine. But I have to warn you. He's going to pissed that you missed his game."
"I know, and don't curse. You know I hate that."
Yeah, and you'd hate me if you knew I had a crush on our Doctor.
"Fine. Whatever, Mom. When's Dad getting back from his business trip?" She shrugged and glanced out the window. Almost as if the topic made her immediately uncomfortable, but that wouldn't make any sense.
"Soon. I know they've almost landed the sale."
"Oh, that's great."
"Yeah, Honey...it is great."
"Mom, are you-"
"We're here." She said pulling up in front of a big brown brick building about four stories tall. "Floor 7, room 7015. They'll be expecting you so you'll probably just go right in. Good luck, baby. I love you. You want me to tell Andrew you love him?"
"Ew, no. Tell Andy I said that he sucks at soccer." My mother just rolled her eyes and pointed to the door.
"Just go, Lila. Tell Kadri I said hi. I can't wait until we have dinner soon." My whole body shut down and I turned towards her, my hand on the door.
"Oh, since he's actually a friend of the families he's coming over for dinner as well as your grandmother and his grandmother. They used to be friends. No, go inside. Before you're late and we have to reschedule." I nodded and pushed open the door, clearing my throat nervously. I hated this. I hated coming here. Seeing him made me wonder why he didn't become an idol. He was definitely attractive enough, and he spoke three languages: Arabic, Korean, and English.
Everything about him was impressive.
"The Doctor will be here soon. Can you tell me why you're here?"
"Um, my monthly check up."
"Ok," she said, scribbling a couple words down on a piece of paper. "He'll be in shortly." I nodded and she turned, closing the door.
I sighed and leaned back against the wall. I shut my eyes and tried to level my breathing. It wasn't a big deal. He was just a guy. Not only was he just a guy he was at least 11 years older than me. I pulled out my phone and started playing music, shutting my eyes again. I set my hands in my lap, and licked my bottom lip feeling myself starting to get sucked into Jungkook's voice as his voice played. Not only did he sound like an angel but so did Jimin as well as JHope when he was singing. Honestly, BTS gave me so much life and happiness it was crazy.
