Chapter 8- I Don't Belong

Chapter 8

It’s been a week since Ron and I came toSalem, I think Ron is missing everyone atGrimmauld Placeand I have to admit it I do to it gets pretty boring with nobody but adults around. Right now I’m in the dining hall for lunch; Ron is doing the same but seems a bit zoned out.

‘Ron how are you doing’ I asked taking a sip of pumpkin juice

‘Alright I guess just wondering how everyone is doing at Grimmauld’ he spoke finishing his piece of chicken

‘Have you written a letter to them yet?’ I asked finishing my soup

‘No because I don’t know what to say to them’ he shrugged getting up

‘You know you can always go back home is you want’ I honestly didn’t want him to leave but if he’s missing his family then he should go even though it will break my heart to see him leave.

‘But what about you Skye, you know you have to come back with me’ it seemed he was getting angry

‘You know I can’t Ron I don’t belong there’ I said rolling my eyes getting out my seat.

Ron did the same and started following me out the door ‘You have to Skye it is your home, if your not coming with me then I’m staying’ he snapped in anger

‘Ron I’m not coming till I at least get a letter saying “come back” because it’s obvious it’s not safe for me to go back there!’ I yelled making my way to the Quittage pitch.

I walked inside to see Alec and Edward Jamison practicing; Edward is the Salem Quittage captain here. I walked into the centre of the pitch till Edward noticed me and literally fell off his broom. I ran over to see if he had any broken bones

‘Ed you okay’ I asked worry filling my voice

‘Just great Skye how are you’ he asked getting up and me doing the same

‘Good just visiting, why haven’t I seen you around the school yet’ I smirked shoving him in a playful way

‘I just arrived today, Alec and I are organizing the Quittage camp together’ he spoke grabbing his broom moving towards the stands.

Salemhas a Quittage rookie camp every year for kids going into their first year wanting to get on the school team. It starts up in the last month ending 2 weeks before school starts. I seen Ron looking around the pitch till our eyes met; he made his way over to me.

‘So Skye how’s the hunting going’ Edward asked leaning on the stand

‘Good I actually went back home but it wasn’t a very good idea’ I shrugged leaning my back on the stand like Edward was doing

‘Why wasn’t it good’ he asked concerned

‘Let’s just say drama went to the point of me and Ron running away’ I smirked watching Ron walking over still

‘You mean that guy that hurt you when you were 13?’ Yes I told him everything that happened; you could say he’s my best friend even though he has a crush on me

‘He’s the one but I think he wants to leave and go home and I don’t blame him’

‘Skye who’s this/’ Ron finally came over and became rigid and stiff

‘Edward Jamison pleasure to meet you’ Edward stuck his hand out and Ron took it

‘Ron Weasley’ Ron introduced ‘What were you and Skye talking about’ he asked looking between me and Edward

‘Just talking Ron why?’ I asked

‘No reason well I should be going and leave…you two to catch up’ Ron said angrily and stocked off.

‘Well that went well’ I said breaking the awkward atmosphere

‘Yeah wonderful’ Edward said sarcastically.

After I talked to Edward for at least 4 hours straight I went to my room and found Ron’s bed empty and nothing but my items in it. I walked over to my desk to see a letter with my name on it

Dear Skye

I left back home because I feel like I don’t belong here. You have friends here that love you a lot. Please come home when you’re ready but don’t do it because a letter is sent

I ripped the letter up and threw it out, I knew Ron would go home but to say good bye in a letter, well it grinded my gears.

RPOV

After I seen that Edward guy with Skye it confirmed that I didn’t belong there, I had to go home. I took the floo powder and went back to Grimmauld place. I entered the living area and seen Harry, the twins, Sirius, and Lupin sitting around on the couches

‘Ronniekins!’ Fred yelled grabbing me and putting me on the couch

‘Were Skye’ George asked patting my head

I smacked his hand away to see everyone else entered the room

‘Oh Ron dear your home’ my mother yelled giving me a death hug

‘Ron where’s Skye?’ Lupin asked with worry

‘She didn’t come back with me, I wanted to come home but she didn’t’

‘Well why did you run away with her!’ my mother yelled

‘Because Hermione was making her hurt and I love her’ I said angrily. I loved Skye and I would do anything for her

‘We were worried son, but all of us are glad you back’ my dad spoke up.

It was dinner and we all sat around the table eating, I noticed that Hermione was not here

‘Where’s Hermione?’ I asked breaking silence

‘Ron…she left when you and Skye did’ Harry said

‘She went back home’ Ginny spoke

‘We all just hope that Skye returns soon, were have you two been staying?’ Lupin asked

‘SalemWitchAcademy’ I shrugged

‘I new it Remus you owe me 3 galleons!’ Sirius yelled in excitement

‘You betted were Skye and I would be’ I yelled with anger in my voice

‘We all had an idea but mine was correct, I just betted money’ he smiled seeing Lupin pass him money

‘Well she will only come back with a letter saying you want her back here’ I shrugged calming down

‘I’ll send one tonight but a letter can’t force her return, nothing can’ Moody spoke up this time and we all jumped mostly because he hasn’t spoken since my return.
