Chapter One Hundred Seven

With just a little bit more convincing, Anora agreed that she would be the one to travel back, especially after Charlie droned on and on about how much he dreaded apparating. She did find herself excited to see everyone, especially since she would get to spend time with Tonks. However, Iggy needed far more convincing.

He was completely aware that Anora was leaving as he watched her pack a bag. Anora had to continue to fight him, as she removed him from sneaking into her back countless times.

"Iggy, this isn't a trip for fun. You have to stay here." she told the cat.

Iggy howled loudly in the room, enough to draw Charlie's attention from the kitchen.

"What in the world was that?" he asked walking into the room.

"That was Iggy voicing his opinion on this matter." Anora sighed sitting on the bed. Iggy sat in her lap, in silent protest. "He really doesn't want me to leave."

"It's only for a few days, Iggy." Charlie said sitting next to Anora.

Iggy ignored him with a flick of the ear and curled into Anora's side. She glanced over at Charlie with an amused grin.

"You just had to pick out the sassiest cat ever, didn't you?" Charlie shook his head.

"Uh...Iggy came to me. Not that I'm complaining."

"Well, he's just going to have to get over the fact that he's going to be spending some quality time with me."

Iggy did not agree with Anora's departure, and Charlie wasn't sure who was more upset, Iggy or Roscoe.

It was Iggy.

Throughout the first hour that Anora had left, several mugs met a horrible fate at the paws of the cat. And if it wasn't throwing temper tantrums with the mugs, he would claw at several pieces of furniture until Charlie tried to go after him.

"Why are you doing this? It's only a couple of days! She'll be back and it'll be like she never left!"

Iggy stared at the red head man, his tail twitching in annoyance that his mistress had left in place of him. He had nothing against Charlie personally, but Anora was his number one. After ripping up part of the sofa, Iggy slipped out one of the windows and took to the fields.

Roscoe was attempting to remove several scales that were itching him like crazy, when he heard another dragon approaching. Norberta arrived by his side, appearing to be in a foul mood. Nothing new there. She settled by him and let out a puff of smoke.

Ever since mating season began, the male dragons had been attempting to get with any and all females and Norberta hated it. Many of the males neglected the fact that Norberta was too young to mate but they didn't seem to take notice or they didn't care. Roscoe was the only male dragon in the sanctuary besides Sultan who left Norberta alone and she appreciated that more than anything.

She glanced over at the dragon who was trying to reach and move dried scales from his tale but he couldn't get at the right angle to remove them.

She moved over and went to help him. At first her sudden movement caused Roscoe to snap at her, causing her to lash her tail at his head warning him not to even try. She was not in the mood.

When Roscoe noticed that she was assisting removing the scales he allowed her to continue and calmed himself down.

Due to Roscoe's size the majority of the male dragons in the sanctuary wouldn't dare approach him to challenge him for territory or a female. It appeared that Norberta had been claimed by him much to the displeasure of the females in the sanctuary.

Aside from Sultan, Roscoe was the stud of the sanctuary. His size was favorable to the females but for some reason, Roscoe had shown no interest in mating that season. He avoided female dragons as much as he could, the only exception being Norberta. But he didn't have much of a choice there, considering Anora and Charlie worked with both of closely.

Once Norberta finished removing the scales, she placed her head down in the grass while Roscoe stretched out onto his side.

Suddenly, the two dragons heard something moving the grass. They turned their heads to see a very pissed off Iggy stalking passed them, not even looking over in their direction.

"I'm so glad you're here!" Tonks said wrapping her arms around Anora.

"Me too!" Anora said squeezing her in return.

"I'm sure everyone is going to be thrilled to see you again. When's the last time you've had a proper visit home?" Tonks asked her.

"Yikes, I really don't want to think about it. Too long. Mind you my parents don't know I'm here yet. But when they find out, I'm sure they're going to do everything in their power to keep me here for as long as they can."

"Pfft, I'm not letting you leave that easy either." Tonks told her.

Tonks invited her into the small flat where she lived and the two women plopped down on the sofa.

"Crazy stuff is happening, An."

"So I've heard. But isn't that what you signed up for Tonks, crazy adventures?"

"That's what we all signed up for. Mine was just minus the dragons."
