"The court finds Byun Baekhyun guilty-"
Taeyeon came running just in time before the judge could speak any further. She was finally in proper clothing as she couldn't enter the court in hospital clothes. "He didn't murder the woman, I have evidence."
Baekhyun immediately found out that their conversation was being recorded earlier. His eyes were like a pair of footballs as he watched her handing in the tape recorder.
They all kept quiet and payed full attention to the conversation.
"Byun Baekhyun, can you please explain?" The big guy asked him, waiting for an explanation which never really came. Baekhyun didn't say anything, but only stared at Taeyeon with a blank face.
"From my point of view, I believe that Byun Baekhyun is being threatened to accept the crime. He may not be able to speak anything now, so we need to find out for ourselves." Taeyeon said.
The judge nodded, understanding what she meant. "I can only give you one week, no more than that. Byun Baekhyun will still be under police's custody, but his security will be tighter than before in case any attacks may occur." He announced.
Taeyeon sighed in relief. 168 hours were more than enough.
"Did you heal already?" Nick asked once Taeyeon stepped in the police station. Taeyeon nodded, "Just a small wound can't kill me, my head's made of rock." She let out a small chuckle before making her way to Jonghyun's table.
They chanted together and did a very cool fist bump. Jonghyun and Taeyeon were like siblings. They don't only share the same surnames, but their attitudes and lives were somehow similar, and they understood each other better than any other; in other words, they were like siblings.
They spoke a little before making their way to Baekhyun's cell. He hadn't spoken a thing ever since the day they went to the court a day before, neither had he eaten anything.
"Aren't you hungry?"
He looked away as if to ignore her, but gave up eventually and nodded his head.
Of course he was hungry, he was human after all. He insisted on holding a grudge, but he was never good in those, neither was he good in keeping himself hungry.
"I brought some fried chicken." Taeyeon said with a shy smile, like a teenager her crush. "Let's go to the canteen and talk for a while?"
And so they made their way to the canteen, but a bunch of policemen were still trailing behind them.
"Eat up, I know you're hungry." She told him, resting her chin on the table and staring at him.
She saw him tense up because of her stare. He was even avoiding eye contact with her as he munched on his chicken. And she found it adorable.
She found him adorable.
No matter what he has done in the past, no matter what he feels about her, she knew she wouldn't care anymore.
Taeyeon was still surprised how she was able to feel this much affection fir someone in such short period of time. The feeling of wanting to know somebody deeply, to be there for somebody.
She knew herself, she knew what her heart wanted.
It wasn't just a nice house, a fulfilling life and a small puppy; she knew that something-someone had made a new place for himself in her list,
and she knew that someone was no other than Byun Baekhyun.
