Sample Comments from Readers:

I love the description, it's clean and seems to make the scene lay out perfectly. I really like your writing style, very nice use of imagery. I can't wait to read on because this intrigued me! I really like the line ' a place I had vowed to see for the final time tonight ' I have no idea why that stuck in my head so... but I like it. This is awesome and I can definitely tell you're going to go far with this plot. That was a beautiful ending by the way ♥ - @xApostrophe

A Sneak Peek Into:

I started up at him in surprise. He leaned close again, his lips centimetres from my ear. "I keep thinking about it, Zania." He whispered. His breath tickled me and I felt a shock jerk through my frame.

"What?" I asked, my voice sounding like a croak.

"That kiss." Dark murmured. I jumped when I felt his fingers trace the outside curve of my ear delicately, pulling on strands of my hair.

"What are you doing?" I asked, shifting my weight uncomfortably from foot to foot. My eyes followed a path from his spread fingers on the wooden door, up his tanned arms and to his face, his sapphire eyes scorching into mine. I almost took a step back from the intensity of his gaze.

A Few Pirate Words (for fun):

Dungbie: Rear end

Cackle fruit: Chicken eggs

Shantey: The songs pirates sing while they are working. (Also spelt 'chantey' or 'shanty'.)

Interesting knowhow:

Funnily, when you look into pirate history, the stories are exponential. But, when you think pirate, you think male, beard, a loose tooth or two? Maybe a hearty man with a hearty sword? Here are some interesting facts about pirates and the woman who made their name by being pirates:

-Al-Hurra

She was a feared figure for the Spanish and Portuguese, whose historical records are peppered with paperwork involving reports about her exploits and ransoms.
