Try Again (I_Am_Wildcat x Reader)

PAX. I'd almost completely forgotten about PAX in the midst of all my stupid drama. The whole reason I was even here was this gaming convention.

I'd come up with a plan type thing to get Tyler back and it involved PAX. He was going to be doing an interview on the first day and I was going to crash it. Not much of a plan, but I didn't want to just tell him I wanted him back, I wanted it to be big. I wanted to put myself out there for him, he deserved that after everything.

I was kind of blown away by the whole thing when I walked into PAX. It was beautiful, a gamer's heaven. I was surrounded by people who loved the same things I did and it felt so good to be a part of something.

A girl came up to me as I was looking for where Tyler would be and asked if I was me. I smiled at the girl and said yes.

"Oh my gosh, can I have your autograph?"

I nodded and signed the paper for her. "There you go."

"Thank you so much!" she squealed, "By the way you and Wildcat are a really cute couple."

My smile wavered, "Oh, um, we're not anymore."

She looked shocked at herself and made an apologetic face, "I am so sorry. I didn't know-"

"It's okay," I told her, "I'm kind of in the process of getting him back."

She looked at me with big eyes, "You are?"

I nodded, "Yeah, I gotta go. I'll catch you later...?"

"Tay."

"Tay." I smiled and waved at her as I went off again to find Ty.

I looked around for a bit more until I found him, mid interview. I made sure to stand off on the side to where he couldn't see me as I listened in to the conversation they were having.

"So, tell us," the interviewer said, starting a new topic, "How are things with (Y/N)?"

He gave her a shitty look and stumbled with what to say. I didn't want to see him like that so I walked over to them and stood next to Tyler.

"What about me?" I asked, leaning into Tyler's side and wrapping his arm around my waist.

"I thought you two were broken up," she pointed out.

I shrugged and smiled, "Things change." I could feel Ty looking at me as I answered but I didn't look at him. "He makes me happy."

"So you're confirming that you two are back together?"

At this point I did look up to him with a small closed mouth smile. He looked back and a small smile played around his lips.

"Yes," he confirmed, "We are."

I smiled at the lady and Ty rubbed little patterns on my hip.

She recovered from the shock and said, "Well, okay. That's good to hear."

"Yeah, it is," Tyler said, trying to suppress a smile.

I turned to him and said, "I'll let you get back to it then." I pressed a small kiss to his lips, waved at the camera, and walked off to the side out of view. I felt good about what had happened. Hopefully I didn't just make a fool of myself.
