We held hands for nearly the whole two hours. Towards the end I had to get up and use the bathroom and when I got back I didn't want to be the one to start it up again so I didn't and neither did he.
It was okay though, because yes, things were awkward, but at least we were good with each other. I didn't want our weird fucking relationship to mess up the trip for us and everyone around us. So I was glad it was settled, for now.
My phone lit up with a text and I checked to see it was from Brian, making sure he and everyone else were waiting in the right place.
I typed a quick reply about the right area and again how I couldn't wait to see him, and closed my phone off again, thinking nothing of it.
"Since when do you text Terroriser?" Tyler asked, having obviously looked at my phone.
"What? Oh, Brian? Since forever," I said nonchalantly. It was true.
"Oh," he mumbled, "Are you guys a thing now?"
"What?"
"I don't know I've just observed..."
"Observed what?"
"Just that you and Brian are I don't know... talking... a lot I guess."
"Oh Jesus, Tyler, please don't start this," I pleaded.
He put his hands up, making a face of annoyance, "I'm not starting anything."
"Thank you," I said, biting my lip. He always was a jealous one. I remember having numerous fights when we dated over other guys that literally meant nothing to me. I just didn't want him to start that shit up, especially since we weren't even together.
When the flight finally ended I walked off with Tyler but we didn't say much.
Our friends were waiting for us with confused expressions on their faces, I'm sure it was odd seeing us together again. The last time they saw us I was hanging of Tyler's arm like a prize and after this break up I'm sure it was strange seeing us near each other, considering when we played we almost never spoke.
Although this was my first gaming convention, a few of us met up somewhere a few years before so we could all get to see one another. Unfortunately a few of us couldn't come, that included Terroriser so this was my first time seeing him in person.
Brian stood there with a huge smile on his face, as did the rest of them, but he stood out because he was staring right at me.
Brock, aka Moo Snuckel, came up and gave me a hug first, whispering in my ear that I had a lot of explaining to do about Wildcat and I. I nodded and smiled. Brock was always a really good friend of mine and I usually told him everything.
Next up was Mini, Marcel, Lui, Evan, Nogla, and Delirious, hockey mask and all. Brian was obviously waiting until I greeted everyone else before pulling me into a huge hug. My arms went around his neck and his around my waist, it was a bit different than the other hugs I'd received. He held me for a little bit longer and he pulled me in closer than the others.
When we parted he smiled at me and he pushed his hair back. I smiled too.
I could feel the guys looking at us so I turned to find them all staring except Ty, he was looking at the ground and tracing his shoe across the tile.
I smiled at them all as unawkwardly as possible and spoke up, "Well, what're we waiting for?"
