Hi guys!
It's me again! The girl who loves history and who makes sure you know it! :D
So everybody surely heard about the recent British Royal birth? The media have been droning on about it enough so I'm guessing everybody knows :) Anyway that guys was history! Prince George Alexander Louis shall be recorded in books based on the past in the future! He's the future king of Britain! I'm not a fan of the royals, quite frankly I couldn't care less about them but I will stop and watch as history unfolds in front of me so therefore I did find myself semi-interested in the royal birth.
Anyways away from the subject of the royals! Let's talk about the saying history has been repeated. Is that necessarily true? I would love to know what you think so please leave a comment. I, personally, think that saying is true in minor scenarios but it could be coincidence. I suppose it could be said that the fall of Roman Empire and the fall of the British Empire are similar. However, in larger scenarios I do not think the saying applies. It's a rather odd saying as how can history repeat itself? It should be impossible. How can the people of the present make the same mistakes as the people in the past? Do we not learn from the past? What do you think?
But now its time for the random facts of the week!!! :D Prepare to be amazed!
Random Fact number 1:
•Popcorn had been sold in theatres since 1912! It has proved to be a huge money maker! :D
Random History Fact Number 2:
•Russians started drinking tea in 17th century but because it was so expensive, it didn't become popular until the 19th century (Another random fact the UK is only the second largest nation of tea drinkers, Ireland being first ^_^)
Random History Fact Number 3:
•February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full moon! :O
Last week only one person answered the questions to my quiz. So thank you @LittleMissCupcakes! I promise I will read one of your books as soon as I can! :D
So instead of a quiz this week, I have decided that whoever leaves a proper comment will receive a dedication and of course I'll read your book. In your comment just talk about your favourite moment of history, or something in the past which interest you, just please talk about anything :D I'll pick the best comment though if only one person comments then its an automatic win. :)
So that's me for this week.
Byyyyyye :D
