Star's POV
"Sooooo hoooot." I complained flopping down the living room couch.
The temperature was burning. The atmosphere was oppressing. Mr. and Mrs. Diaz were lucky. They were on a vacation from this steaming madness. Me and Marco had to stay home.
"But look at the bright side Star." I mumbled to myself
"No classes."
I let out a groan as I stuck out my tongue. Footsteps were heard coming down from the stairs followed by a huge groan.
"Hey Star?!" asked a sweaty Marco, who wasn't wearing his hoodie.
"Wanna go to the ice cream shop?"
My eyes widened. I jumped up the couch.
"An ice cream shop?!" I beamed.
"Well what are you waiting for Marco? Let's go!!!" I squealed grabbing Marco's wrist and rushing out the door.
Marco's POV
Time skip and we were already at the ice cream shop. Star was already devouring her Strawberry Sundae, swirled with chocolate, and a cherry to finish the top. I was chuckling at her actions as I lick my coned vanilla.
"Mmmmm.... this is so yummy! Really beats the heat, right Marco?" she started finishing her tasty, cool dessert.
"Yeah... ummm... Star you have something on your mouth." I said pointing at her ice cream covered lips.
"Here, I'll get it." I said as I wipe her mouth clean with a tissue. I wasn't thinking at the time, but seeing the position we were in was pretty awkward. I could see a tint of pink in her cheeks. And I was pretty sure my face was red as my hoodie.
"There." I mumbled as I finished wiping her face clean.
"T-thanks." she said avoiding eye contact.
My eyes were glued to the floor as thoughts ran into my head. Marco why did you do that?! I mean you could've just let her clean herself! Dang it Diaz!
"Hey Marco?" she said, snapping me into reality.
My eyes were now focused on her sparkling blue ones. And before I new it she kissed me full on the lips. Of course, I kissed her back. I never wanted this to end. Eventually she pulled back after a few seconds, to what seemed like an eternity.
She leaned her head on my shoulder as I leaned mine on top of her head.
"You taste like vanilla"
I chuckled at her comment
"Oh yeah? Well you taste like strawberries."
"Wanna taste me again, safe kid? "
"Gladly".
