Why am I doing this? I stood at the chapel with Laurence at my side. The flower girl came prancing down the aisle. The organ began to play. Then I saw her. She was wearing a beautiful lavender dress with a matching veil. She had some purple lilies in her hand. I saw tears fall down her face. Huh. She's that happy huh? The organ stopped playing as she stepped next to Laurence. We then began the ceremony. I watched In pain as they said their vows.
"Laurence, do you take Aphmau to be your lawfully wedded wife?" I ask him. He looks at her with joy dancing in his eyes.
"I do"
"And do you, Aphmau, take Laurence to be your lawfully wedded husband?" I ask her. My voice quivered a bit. Tears crystallized in my eyes. Get it together, Zane! Don't let your emotions get in the way.
Aphmau looks at Laurence. Then at me. She looks back and forth. More tears are falling. I notice her bright smile melted into a frown.
"I don't" she said before running off.
