"And I know everything about you." He said almost braggingly while walking over to the table by the wall. "Wanna make a card house with me?" He asked holding a deck up.
"I would, but I have planning to do." I said walking over to the table not really wanting to leave .
"Ah yes. How are you gonna top your last one?" He asked curiously.
"I don't really know yet, but it's going to be the one year anniversary of all of us meeting so it has to be big." I said biting my lip.
"Whatever it is, I know it's gonna be amazing." He said lightly touching my hand.
"Um....yeah...I should probably go and brainstorm." I said snapping out of it and hurrying out of the room almost spilling the coffee Henley was holding.
"Whoa hey there." She said balancing herself. "Hey you ok? You look a little pale." She asked looking concerned.
"Um yeah no, I'm fine. Just going to my room to think." I said trying not to let my voice quiver.
"Uh huh...are you sure you're ok?" She asked.
"No." I couldn't not talk about it with her. She's the only girl I really talk to, and right now, I needed to talk to a girl.
"Come on. Let's go for a walk." She said pulling my arm to the door.
"Where are you girls going?" Danny asked walking out of the kitchen.
"For a walk." Henley answered simply.
"Oh cool, mind if I come?"
"No." Henley said giving him an evil glare. "We need to talk about girl stuff."
"Ok ok, I can take a hint." He said backing up with his hands up.
Henley and I ended up walking to a nearby park and sat on a bench.
"So." Henley started. "What's wrong."
"I think...I think I might like Jack." I said slowly not really knowing how to start it.
"You've always liked him, I don't see what there is to be nervous about." She said confused.
"No...ok. I don't...I don't even know how to say it. I think I might love him."
"What??" Henley asked with a genuine surprised look on her face, and that's when it all came out.
"It just feels like ever since we met, there was that immediate connection. You know? Like the first time I looked into his eyes, the first time I shook his hand, there was just that spark. I didn't want to let go. But then Arthur goes and says that no one in the group is allowed to date which sucks for both of us because I know Danny is still into you and you're still totally into Danny,"
"Wha-" Henley started before I cut her off.
"I mean, who the hell does he think he is? "No one is allowed to date" that is BS. Every single day I fall more and more for Jack and I'm not allowed to do anything about it because it's apparently not professional. It's so hard to be close to him every single day and not be able to do anything because I know that if we were allowed to date there would be no problems because I really like him and it's obvious he likes me an-"
"ALYSSA!" Henley shouted cutting off my rant. "Breathe!"
I did as she said and took a deep breath.
"Honestly, I knew you liked Jack, but love? You're definitely a good actress because I wasn't able to pick that up." She said looking at me. "It's totally clear that he's into you. As for Arthur...just give it some time. Eventually something might change."
"I guess." I said looking at the sky noticing the sun was almost gone. "We should probably get back to the room."
"That might be a good idea." She said as we both got up and started back.
On the way back we saw workers leaving their job at the local bank. A man that seemed to be in charge was the last to leave. I stopped walking as I watched him lock four different locks.
"What are you smiling at?" Henley asked looking at me oddly.
"I think I just figured out what our big anniversary trick will be." I said smirking with plans making themselves in my head as we started walking again.
We finally got to the apartment and found the three boys in the living room watching tv.
"What took you ladies so long?" Merritt asked us.
"Alyssa knows what our big show will be." Henley said with a huge smile.
"That's great! What is it?" Danny asked interested.
"We are going to rob a bank."
