Dear Mr. Williams,

I love my new room! Thank you again for letting me stay here! I went on a walk with Mr. Beilschmidt yesterday. He told me to call him Gilbert. Then we had lemonade and watched a movie. Oh, is he German? He certainly sounds it.

We ate dinner and I had bratwurst for the first time. Gilbert said it would make me big and strong when I get older. You know how much I want to grow up, so I ate three helpings! After that, a friend of his came over. His name was Roderich Edelstein, and he brought Miss Elizabeta with him. She was really nice and pretty, but also scary. I mean, who brings a skillet with them everywhere?

Other than the skillet, we had a really nice time. Mr. Edelstein made an Austrian dessert called Austrian Strawberry Torte. It was amazing! Also, Miss Elizabeta taught me some Hungarian. All I know is how to say "love".

Later, I overheard Mr. Edelstein and Gilbert talking about someone named Ludwig. Who is he? Also, why was there a bird flying around the house? Szerelem (love), Petra
