I was tired now running around and handing out flyers to this gay club that was having its grand opening. Doubt I'd go to it but still helping.
I got back to my apartment and someone said 'hold it' so I pressed the button open and it was that guy again.
"Ughh." I said.
"I could say the same." He said stepping in the elevator.
I sighed pressing my floor and he did his. I stood there rocking on my feet. I sighed running my hands through my hair. The elevator shook and stopped.
"Nooo." I said and started pressing the buttons on the elevator but nothing happened.
"God." I said and slid down the elevator and going in my bag grabbing out my laptop and turning it on.
The guy pulled out his phone. "Fuck." He said and pulled his charger out his bag and looked around.
"Can I plug this charger up to your computer?" He asked like he really had a chance of it.
"You already know the answer to that question." I said.
He groaned and I crossed my leg typing. The lights went off and the boy sat far away in the other corner. I smiled checking my social media accounts and saw that I got mentioned by a gay pride twitter account bigger than mines.
"Wow." I whispered and began making a voice memo of what happened today.
The guy groaned. "I'm stuck in the elevator with a faggot and I have no phone. And god knows when they'll be coming to get us he said and I turned to look at his shadow in the dark.
"You ever stop and wondered why you were straight?" I asked him.
"Because I have my own dick to worry about. I'm not sexually attracted to another man." He scoffed.
I laughed because I've never heard that one before. "You've ever been seduced by a man?" I asked him.
"I would never let a gay man get so close to me. That's disgusting. What don't you understand." He said and I laughed.
"It's just tradition. Being straight is just tradition. It's probably so many gay men and women that are letting society win. Nothing will have that much control over me though. Because it's not a choice to like someone, it's a choice to hide it." I said.
"It is a choice. You saw male and female as the norm and decided to go against it for whatever reason." He said.
"Because I like getting bashed for my lifestyle." I said sarcastically. "I'm gay because I was born this way. Just like you were born to like females." I said.
"Then why didn't you stay in the closet. It's too many of you thinking that you could do things straight people can. Like getting married." He said.
"What's wrong with men being engayged? Why does it affect you?" I asked him.
"It's against my religion-" he said but I stopped him.
"Your religion. I don't understand how a gay couple getting married has anything at all to do with your religion. Your lifestyle." I said.
"Do you have no morals though?" He asked.
"How does loving someone have anything to do with our morals?" I asked raising a brow.
He groaned. "I'm tired of arguing with you." He said.
"You've just ran out of argument." I said.
