Joseph POV

"Suspended for one game?! That's the best you can do?! He shoved my damn face and he was fucking lucky that I ain't lay his ass out!" I was furious. This principal was getting on my last damn nerve. Hell I shouldn't be surprised considering he doesn't want to taint the schools reputation when it comes to football.

After what went down in the classroom, I had no choice to report his ass to the school. Im working with a bunch of idiots. I had to cancel class for the day because there was no way in hell I would be able to teach in the state of mind I was in. I was currently in the office of the Dean of the school with Ryan seated beside me. Smirking as usual. I just want to knock him out. Just one time.

"We'll you know what, I am his coach so I get to decide if he plays," I say firmly.

"I uhh.. actually Joe, you are the co-coach also meaning the coaches assistant, so huh, you really don't have any power when it comes to who plays and who doesn't. Only the head coach can do that."  Ryan chuckled at that and I was just angry.

"And uh, I made the head coach, Ambrose, aware of the situation. He agreed with me on the punishment so lets just settle this. You were both heated and things were said or done. We are men! It happens. Lets not have the team suffer because of stupidity," he said cheerfully as if we were about to sing a song apologize. I'm more angry at the fact that my own so called brother didn't even back me up. There ain't no way in hell that this boy is ever going to get away with putting his hands on me. He does that shit again, I'm going to jail. Fuck this job.

"So it's settled. Have a nice day gentlemen." Ryan stood up thanking him and leaving not before giving me a sly grin. The door closed and I focused on the poor excuse of a man in front on me. If looks could kill he would be dead. He looked up at me and sighed before taking off his glasses.

"Listen Joe, things aren't how the used to be back when you used to play.  Don't be angry with me. If anything you should understand how things are run here." I shook my head, " One thing  I know Is that I have been disrespected greatly. By you,Ryan, and Dean. I don't get angry but I'm about to do is get even. " I stated before getting up and walking out his office and slamming the door shut.

I walked out of the building and headed towards my car. I heard a soft voice calling me but I kept marching to my car. I heard it again and turned around yelling what and instantly regretted it. Robin was standing in front of me and flinched back due to my sudden outburst. "I'm so sorry Robin. I didn't mean to yell at you like that, it was just that I was heated and I'm sorry." I said a bit to quickly but I was desperate for her to understand that I didn't mean to snap at her.

"It's okay Joe. I understand. I just wanted to check if you were okay or uhm..." she trailed off. I smiled at her, " Yeah I'm fine."

"Well your clearly not Joseph," she said with a bit of desperation in her voice.

"Whoa, I'm not Joe anymore?" I said teasing her a bit. She lit up with a smile and looked down trying to hide the tint of pink climbing her cheekbones.

"Well you weren't giving me an honest answer," she said looking back up at me smiling a bit.

"You sound like a mom who's scolding their child," she gasped slightly.

"I do not!" she squealed a bit. I laughed at her reaction. Damn she is too cute.

"Just a little bit. My mom calls me by my first name when she is angry with me or whatever."

"What's your first name again?" She asked me.

"Leati," I responded back. She smiled, " That really is a beautiful name.  'Leati' " she said testing it out. I felt myself get excited just by the way she said my name. I normally don't like when I'm called by my first name but they way it came out of her mouth was just pure ecstasy and my heart beat a little faster with excitement. I smiled at her and she returned the favor. God she really is beautiful.

"I told my side of the story of what I saw to the principal, I'm uh guessing things didn't go well?" she said sadly.

I rubbed the back of my head and sighed, "Yeah, well it is what it is. But thank you for calming down earlier."

"It's no problem." She said rubbing her arm. " No really if it weren't for you I would have lost my job kicking his ass."

"Yeah well uhm. I'm sorry. That was a side of him I have never seen before," she said shivering probably thinking back to the encounter.  I stepped close to her and rubbed her arms, " Hey, don't worry about him. " She nodded and looked up at me, " Well I guess I should let you go to where ever it is you wanted to go to," she stated looking up at me with me still rubbing her arms slowly. Oh right. I did want to leave earlier. But I really don't want to leave her. Think fast Joe.

"I was actually going to get something to eat at the mall or something. I uhm, I mean, would you like to join me?"

"You want me to eat with you?" she asked a bit shocked. "Yeah why not?"

"What about my car? I can't leave it here."

"Don't worry about it, I will come back and drop you off later."

She was a bit hesitant but she agreed.

"Alright lets got then."
