Kates pov
I was walking to a store to get some supplies with Kaitlyn when we saw the mall. "Omg Kate we have to go to hot topic!" Kaitlyn cheered. "Ok only for a little bit" I replied. We banged on the doors to see if any walkers were there. We heard nothing so we opened the doors. "You go check hot topic I'll go to Spencer's" I said. "Have your knife in your hand and put as much stuff in your bag as you can" I said. We parted ways. When I got to Spenser's I saw some shirts and bras. I grabbed some and put them in my bag. "Omg this is so cute!" I said grabbing a hat. "I should get one for Kaitlyn too" I said. I found a lot of batman and superman hats. I got some chokers and fox tails for us. "Maybe they got some makeup" I said to myself. I walked around for a bit and got some more pants and shirts. I found a batman and a pikachu backpack. I grabbed those and filled them with makeup and other stuff. When I was done I walked to hot topic to find Kaitlyn. "Hey I got some stuff we can use." I said walking to her. "I got some band merch and makeup." She said. "I got you a backpack with some clothes and makeup in it." I said handing her the pikachu backpack. "You can put some other stuff in it too I have a batman one." I said showing her. "Nice oh here's a batman hoodie I got myself a pikachu one" she said handing me the hoodie. We walked around the mall a bit and found bed bath and beyond. "We can get makeup and stuff here" I said and walked in. "There's some shampoo and conditioner over here" I said grabbing some. "I got some hair brushes and hair dye." Kaitlyn said walking over to me. "What colors you got?" I asked. "Brown red black blue blonde and purple." She said. "We should see if the water works here." I said and walked to a sink. I turned the knob and water flows out. "Perfect we can dye out hair" I said walking over to her. "What color are you gonna dye your hair?" I asked her. "I think blue." She said. I brushed her hair and put the dye in. It was 30 mins and I washed her hair out. "It looks amazing!" I said. "Ok what color you picking?" She asked me. "I'll do mine brown." I answered. She did my hair and it looked amazing too. We walked out the store and we heard a door open. "I think someone's in her" I whispered to Kaitlyn. "We should hide its probably a walker or a gang member." She said. We went into hot topic cause it was darker. "Someone has been in here" we heard a mans voice. I heard them walking closer to us. "I left my bag out there." Kaitlyn said getting up and grabbing her bag. Next thing I know a gun is shot and Kaitlyn hits the floor. "KAITLYN NO!!!" I screamed coming out from under the desk. "Don't move" I heard a harsh but gentle voice. "Who are you and what's your name?" He asked. I turned around slowly to look at him. With the tears still in my eyes I could see his face. He has brown eyes and brown hair. Kinda cute WAIT no shut up Kate he's gonna kill me. "I said who are you and what's your name?" He asked again. "M-my names Kate..." I said over my sniffles. "How old are you and how'd you get here?" He asked. "I'm 14 and I was walking with my now dead friend Kaitlyn to find shelter to sleep and eat at..." I said choking on her name. "I'm Carl and what weapons do you have?" He asked. " I have a gun and two knifes" I said looking down. "Well would you like to join my group?" He asked me. "I don't want to be a bother to your group" I said. "no its fine you can come with us." He said. I grabbed Kaitlyn's pikachu bag and my batman one and we left.
A/N well here's my new story. Yea its a walking dead story but this one is gonna be better then the other one. I hope you like it.
