Okay, guys I'm sorry about the wait. I went on vacation for a week and I was busy with enjoying my vacation and then I was working on the third chapter of Stranded. I like to write different stories at once so incase I get stuck on one story I can focus on the other well that's how it is with TBBMR & Stranded. I don't really know how to continue this story right now so I'm focusing more on Stranded. I finally came up with something so I hope you like it. Ricky and Kat are official over from here until whenever. I have something epic planned for those two.

Chapter Fifteen: Babysitter

I sat on my steps in front of my apartment waiting for Luke to drop off Annabelle, I saw his car pull up in the drive and he got out waving at me. I waved back standing up to meet him at the car, and he went to the backseat to get Annabelle out. She was eight months now and she was still so small; I couldn't help smile down at her.

"What time is your shift?" I asked leading him up the steps.

"Seven-thirty," he said. "I have thirty minutes to kill."

"You could come inside," I said.

"Okay," he said following me through the door.

"Would you like anything to drink?" I asked walking into the kitchen.

"No, I'm good," he said setting Annabelle's car seat down on the floor then took her out. She was crawling now so it's a good thing I had carpet in the living room. I showed him to the living room where he sat down on the couch next to me. He set down Annabelle so that she could crawl around. "Are you sure you don't want to be paid for this? I mean, you're giving up your weekend for me."

"I still have Sunday," I said. "I, also, have nothing better to do. Plus, it's been a while since I've seen Annabelle. We're going to have so much fun."

"I sure hope," he said. "I don't just leave her with anyone."

"I don't mean to pry or anything, but where's her mom?" I asked hoping that I didn't cross some invisible boundary.

"I don't really know," he said. "I came home from school one day, and this lady showed up on my doorstep telling me that Annabelle was my kid and that the mother had basically given up her rights as a mother. I had the option of giving her up for adoption, but I couldn't do it."

"That's very sweet," I said. I remember now why I liked him so much, but then again there's that five year difference.

"Didn't you live with someone?" he asked looking around my apartment.

"At one point," I said. "It's a long story that I don't have time to explain because you have to go to work."

"Okay, I have to be honest with you," he said.

"What?" I asked.

"I don't actually have work," he said. "I just needed an excuse to talk to you."

"You---" I started.

"I mean, my brother came into town and he wants to go out to celebrate getting signed for some baseball team," he said.

"You know you could have just told me that and I would have still said yes," I said. "I mean, being a dad at your age must be tough on the social life. When's the last time you went to a bar besides going to work?"

"Is it bad that I don't remember?" he asked with a smile.

"Yes," I said nodding my head.

"Back to you, what happened with the roommate?" he asked. "I have time."
